In the northern side of Sapiro, there stood tall the magnificent Malaya Mountain. It is once said that there was once a powerful God who resides there with his mortal family. Since then, nobody ever dared to set foot on the enchanted mountain, afraid to disturb the God.

Said Yue while gazing at the proud mountain.

Asked the bewildered Ezekiel.

Said Yue as the sun started to creep in from the tip of the mountain.

"Agtu."

The hike was long but not as dangerous as they thought it would be. It was a beautiful mountain, nothing they ever saw before. It looks every inch of a mountain hand built by a God.

"Nakakamangha. Said Ezekiel as he marvels the wonders of the mountain.

"Syang tunay Kaibigan.

They hiked half a day until they reached the summit safely. On top of the mountain stood a great tree which seemed like descended from heaven. It was made of silver and gold and it was glistening under the sun. While marveling the beauty of the said tree, they heard a soft siren from the sky. To their immense joy, the coveted Adarna is flying in the sky just above the tree.

"Mahabaging Emre, nandito nga ang Adarna." Said Yue in disbelief.
Said Yue with his eyebrows raised.
"Bakit ako? Ikaw tong maraming nalalaman sa Adarna. Papaano mo ba sya napalapit sayo dati" Retaliated Ezekiel.
Suggested Ezekiel.
He was met with a death stare from Yue.
"Adarna!" shouted Yue. "Adarna.
Ano kaya ang gagawin ni Ina?" whispered Ezekiel while lost in a deep thought.
"Ano ang iyong mga tinuran?" asked Yue.

Then it dawned on him, maybe he can ask his old friend, the wind, to relay his message to the magnificent creature.

"Tabi, may gagawin ako." He motioned Yue to step aside which he gladly did. After a deep breath, he raised his hands in prayers, and whispered some encantation so quietly, it got lost in the wind as soon as he opened his mouth.

"Ashni Ada corr due, E eshma saman die. Hare live E due. Salamande." Whispered Ezekiel. As soon as he opened his eyes, a breeze of wind brushed his cheeks, lettingnhim know his message will be relayed.

Said Yue as he palmed his face.

Nothing happened for a few seconds, then suddenly they can hear a loud cry from the air, like the Adarna has wailed her response. She started flying to their direction, and landed safely at Ezekiel's shoulder. She brushed her feathery head in his cheeks as he stared at her in disbelief.

"Mahabaging Emre, paano mo nagawa iyon. Tila ay ikaw ay may kapangyarihan." Said the wide-eyed Yue.

Explained Ezekiel smilingly as he remembered his mother.

Said Yue urgently.

Suddenly, the smile left Ezekiel's lips. This is the part he's been dreading since the time he conceived his plan. The moment has come to betray his friend.

"Narinig mo ba ang tungkol sa lumalaganap na epidemya ngayon sa Encantadia?" he asked, his voice quiet, the guilt starting to show.

Explained Yue as he racks his bag for the tiny caged, he prepared for the Adarna.
"Eto, dito muna natin ilagay ang ating bagong kaibigan."

Ezekiel assisted Yue in putting the bird in her tiny shabby cage.

"Dito ka muna kaibigan. Pangako, papalayain kita pagnasa bahay na tayo." Said Yue from the other side of the cage. Said Yue like a proud brother.

Ezekiel cannot reciprocate the feeling though. He can feel the guilt slowly eating him as they descended the mountains.

"Papaano mo pala nagawa iyon? Nakamamanghang tunay." Asked Yue as they walked the trail towards the foot of the mountain.

Explained Ezekiel.

As soon as Yue processed what he heard, it stopped him from his track.

"Tagapangalaga? Hindi ba't ang tagapangalaga ng Brilyante ng hangin ay ang nawawalang Hara ng Sapiro?" asked Yue as he tries to piece together all the information, he knew from all information he just heard.

Ezekiel explained further while stopping at his track as well. Yue turned his back to face him. Amazement and disbelief painted all over his face.

He said excitedly as he extends his hand for a handshake.

Ezekiel took it with sadness of what he's about to do written all over his face.

" Ako din kaibigan, kinararangal kong makilala ikaw." And out of nowhere, he punched him in the face with his sword, so hard it knocked Yue out immediately.

"Patawad kaibigan, ngunit wala na akong panahon." He said as he picked the cage from the grassy ground.

Unable to bear leaving him just lying face down to the grown, Ezekiel layed him down to the softest side of the grass, covered him with his own cloak that he seemed like he's only taking a short nap from hiking all day. When he's done, he immediately rushed down to the foot of the mountain. After a long time, he's finally going home.

The Legend of the Adarna (Phoenix)

There was once a God of the Sun who took a liking of a certain mountain. Every time he raised the sun from the earth, he loved it how the sun would glisten as it hit its perfect cone. Like it's pointing the light of the sun to the heavens, his home. Every day he would come down and raised the sun from earth and stay there to navigate the rotation of the sun till it's time for it to set. Eventually, he sealed the mountain from mortals, so he could enjoy the sun alone. One day, while commanding the sun from the mountains, he catches sight of a beautiful bird roaming around the peak of the mountain and dancing in the sunrise. It was a sight to behold. Tired from flying, the bird rested on a branch from a huge tree on top of the mountain. It suddenly transformed into a beautiful maiden, as beautiful as the sunrise. She has a long white hair with tinge of gold, her ears pointed like a true blooded fairy, and her golden eyes as piercing as the sun. She laid there lazily in her branch as she hummed an enchanting song. The deity, Harim, God of the Sun fell in love immediately.

It was said that their descendants took after their mother who can transform into a bird while they also inherited the Godly power of their father in healing thru the power of the sun. It is said that their tears are so beautiful as it is valuable as their tears resemble the glisten of the sun that heals all diseases known to man. Some of their descendants got hunted due to this ability, some died while some fell in love. Those who fell in love, hid their offspring's ability to the world, afraid of history repeating itself. Through the years, the magnificent story of love of a fairy and a God became nothing but a legend. Nobody that now lived knew if there's even a speck of truth in the legend. But there is, and the last known descendant to ever manifest this power is Mine-a, the Hara Durie of Lireo.
