There's a certain song in the air. A chant, maybe, calling his name, the Hero who's gonna save them all. Like his parents they say. A true Lirean and Sapiryan blood. Ezekiel opened his eyes, and from a far, the Kingdom of the fairies stood tall and proud, his heritage. Yet somehow, he felt disconnected to his heritage, for now he felt like a fraud. The sin of betrayal running down his veins at this very moment. He can help but think of the friend he left behind in the cold mountains. Did he survive? Will he ever find out? It's eating him, the guilt, but he's a prince with a task and millions of people he can't disappoint. He closed his eyes again and reminisced the day he came back with the Adarna in tow. Trumpets were blown, cannons were fired, and above all, his father waiting for him at the entrance of Sapiro. All smiles and very much proud.

"Tunay ka ngang tagapagmana ng Sapiro anak. Kung nandito lamang ang iyong ina ay tiyak na sasabihin nyang tunay ngang nananalaytay sayo ang dugong sang'gre at sapiryan. Ipinagmamalaki kita Ezekiel, Rehav ng Sapiro." Ybrahim said as he engulfed his son in a tight embrace.

"Rehav." A sudden interruption brought Ezekiel back to the present.
"Pinapatawag po kayo ng Rama sa pagpupulong." Said Maica, his father's mashna.
"Avisala eshma, Maica. Susunod ako." He answered and the Mashna curtsied and excused herself.



"Kung saktan ko kaya tong ibon na ito? Tingnan ko lang kung hindi sya maluha sa sakit."

"Shedda Pirena. Marupok kaysa sa tao ang mga ibon, baka ikasawi pa nya ito. Eh di mas malaking suliranin pa para sa atin." Hushed Danaya to her older sister.

" Ngunit anong pang silbi ng ibon na ito kung hindi sya luluha?" argued Pirena.

"Ngunit Ina, pinagaling ako ng ibon na iyan. Malaki ang utang na loob natin sa kanya." Defended Mira who has regained her strength.

"Syang tunay Pirena." Agreed by Alena.

"Hindi ko lamang maunawaan ay kung bakit si Mira lamang ang pinagaling ng Ibon na iyan. Hindi kaya ay namimili sya ng pasyente?" wondered Pirena.

"Ang Adarna ay hindi likas na manggagamot. Ngunit sila ay likas na mahabagin, tuwing na aantig ang kanilang puso ay naiiyak sila at sadya lamang may mahika ang kanilang mga luha na makapagpagaling ng karamdaman." Explained by Imaw.

"Ngunit hindi ko pa rin mawari ay kung bakit kay Mira lamang sya nahabag at hind isa libo-libong nakaratay sa silid pagamutan." Wondered Danaya.

"Siyang tunay, Ideia. Hanggang ngayon ay bumabagabag parin iyan sa aking isip." Agreed Alena.

In the far corner of the room, the Rama who was so lost in deep thoughts finally chimed in the conversation.

"Sa bawat segundong hindi lumuluha ang Adarna ay daan daan din ng aking nasasakupan ang namamatay. Kaya't sa sitwasyon na ito ay kakampi ako kay Pirena. Kung kinakailangan ng Dahas ay pinapahintulutan ko ito para sa ikabubuti ng Sapiro at buong Encantadia." Said the Rama.

"Ngunit Rama, pinagaling nya ako ng walang ginagamit na dahas. Marahil ay hindi ito ang tamang solusyon. At tsaka kakaiba ang pakiramdam ko sa Adarna. Hindi ko mawari ngunit tila napakagaan ng pakiramdam ko sa kanya." Defended Mira.

"Marahil ay kasama lamang iyan ng kanyang mahika nung ikaw ay kanyang pinagaling Mira." Suggested Pirena nonchalantly.

The doors swung open and Ezekiel entered the room.
"Ang Rehav ng Sapiro." The mashna announced.

"Rehav, baka ay maari mong isalaysay sa amin kung papano mo natagpuan ang Adarna. Marahil ay mas maiintindihan namin ng lubusan ang Adarna base sa iyong mga isasalaysay." Asked Alena.

Ezekiel looked around the room. Everyone eager to know the whole story, but he has to leave a whole chunk of what really happened to continue his charade as the sole Hero.

"At lumapit na lamang sya sayo ng ganun lamang? Nakakamangha." Said the bewildered Alena.

"Nakakasiguro ka ba Imaw na ito ang tunay na Adarna?" asked Pirena.

"Kung hindi sya ang tunay na Adarna ahy hindi nya mapapagaling si Mira." Explained Ezekiel.

"Isang bagay na tunay na nakakapagpabagabag. Bakit sya tumigil kay Mira lamang." Wondered Alena.

It's no true that it was only Mira. If he remembers correctly, his friend Yue also narrated that he was once saved by the Adarna from an impending death. But, that's one fact he cannot share.

"Sa ngayon ay ibabalik na muna natin ang Adarna sa kanyang silid. Lahat tayo ay kailangan suriin at pag-isipan lahat ng mga nasalaysay ngayon. Hari nawa't bukas ay sana isa sa atin ay may kasagutan na." ordered the Rama.

At once, everyone evictused to their assigned work station. Only the Rama and the Rehav are left in the room.

"Anong iniisip mo Ado." Asked Ezekiel as his father was lost again in deep thoughts while staring at the Adarna across her cage.

"Iniisip ko lamang ang ating mga nasasakupan. Bawa't oras ay daan-daan na lamang ang pumapanaw. Adarna, anong hiwaga ang meron ka? Anong kailangan naming gawin upang lumuha ka." Said the Rama as he was lost in a silent conversation with the Adarna.

"Magiging maayos din ang lahat Ama. May habag si Emre." Assuered Ezekiel.

"Salamat Anak. Maica! Itago nyo na muna ang Adarna. Siguraduhin nyong hindi ito makakatakas." Ordered Ybrahim before he left to the throne room.

As the Adarna was being escorted out of the room, Ezekiel could swear she caught the Adarna following him in a gaze. There's a certain sadness in her eyes, so different from when she first came to him. She knew what happened. Maybe she was also disappointed in him. Maybe that is why she won't shed a single tear. Then, the door shut and Ezekiel could feel all the air was lost in the room.

"Zeke! Zeke! Gumising ka!" an urgent voice suddenly woke Ezekiel.
"Lira? Anong ginagawa mo sa aking silid." Asked the confuse in a sleepy tone.
"Dali! Gumising kana! Pinapatawag ka sa punong bulwagan." Said Lira in a panic. At once, Ezekiel jumped from the bed.
"Bakit? Anong nangyari?" he asked.
"Ang Adarna. Muntik na may kumidnap sa kanya." Explained Lira.
"Sino?" asked Ezekiel as he dons his robes.
"Hindi ko kilala eh pero kilala ka nya." Said Lira.
Ezekiel didn't have to guess to know who was it. There was a sigh of relief for him knowing he survived but there's also a great fear in his heart that he'll be exposed any minute.
Sa Punong Bulwagan

The door swung open, and Ezekiel found a figure handcuffed and kneeling in front of the Rama at the foot of his throne. A little beaten up but otherwise fine.
All the sang'gres are gathered round him. The Adarna, still on her cage, is at the corner heavily gathered by Maica and some sapiryan soldiers.

"Ezekiel, sinasabi ng ekstranghero na ito na kilala ka niya. May katotohanan ba ito?"

Ezekiel took a good look at the stranger's face, behind that swollen appearance is without a doubt a familiar face.

"Hindi ko siya kilala Ado."

The thief smirked and burst in a faint laugh.

"Bakit ka tumatawa. Dahil ba nahuli kang nagsisinungaling?" said Ybrahim in an angry tone, he motioned his soldiers and one of them struck the burglar in the face.

After the blow, the thief remained laughing.

"Ako? Ako na ngayon ang magnanakaw, ako na ngayon ang sinungaling. Rehav, alam natin ang totoo. Salamat sayo at nag-aagaw buhay parin ang aking ina!" Yue shouted as he gathered what's left of his strength to attack the Rehav. He was subdued immediately by the soldiers and for the first time, few drops of blood fell to the floor.

"Anong pinagsasabi nya Rehav?" asked Alena.

"Hindi ko alam ngunit ang alam ko lang ay tinangka nyang nakawin ang Adarna at ilagay ang buong Encantadia sa kapahamakan. Dapat syang parusahan." Said Ezekiel with full conviction.

" Ako na ang bahala." Said Pirena as she stepped up and summoned her fire gem.

"Pirena!" called Alena.

"Matagal ng hindi nagagamit ang aking brilyante kaya mapalad ka ekstranghero." Smirked Pirena as bolt of red light charged to Yue. All of a sudden, the whole throne room is engulfed by his screams of pain. All of the sudden, the calm skies is covered with thunders and lightning.

"Pirena! Tumi-"shouted Danaya but she was cut by the Rama.

"Ngunit Rama, sobra na ito." Argued Danaya.

"Shedda Danaya, pagmasdan mo." Said the bewildered Rama as he motioned his gaze to the Adarna. She was crying, and all of a sudden, she evictused from her cage to Yue, shielding and protecting him.

Pirena withdrew her attacks and looked at the Rama, seeking validation if she should continue.

"Alena, Danaya. Gamitin nyo ang inyong mga brilyante. Samahan nyo si Pirena." Ordered the Rama.

The room was suddenly engulfed by choruses of objections.

"Shedda! Hindi nyo ba nakikita. Ito lamang ang paraan para mapaiyak ang Adarna. Kaya para sa Encantadia, gawin nyo ang inyong tungkulin.Kung hindi, ako mismo ang gagawa nito" Said the Rama.

Alena and Danaya exchanged gazes, though against their wishes, they know they were left with no choice. Their eyes start to light up, they gems summoned, their opinions set aside, together with Pirena, they charged straight at the Adarna. Pulsating lights engulfed the whole room, the thunder outside began to intensify, and in a split of a second, something unexpected happened. The Adarna sucked their gems until it was no more.

The whole room was covered in shock. Some took a while to process what happened. Suddenly, the Adarna began luminesce. She flapped her wings as the light covered her. The light started to expand and everyone was just left speechless as the spectacle unfolds in their very eyes. Out of the light, the mother gem emerged, wielded by a strange figure of what appears to be a woman.

"Mahabaging emre." Danaya whispered.

Out of the light, a familiar face emerged. The face they've been dying to see for a very long time, the one they searched the whole Encantadia for.

"Ina.'' Whispered Ezekiel.
"Amihan." Said Ybrahim still in shock.

The light died down, and Amihan opened her eyes, she closed both the palm of her hands, and the mother gem vanished. As she did, she collapsed and fell on the floor.
