What Becomes of Curious Minds

It's only a matter of time before the season finally changes. Winds are blowing colder than yesterday. Leaves are falling consistently than usual. It's been days since the sun has last shown from the sky and it seems like it would be a very long time before it shines again.

Ever since ashes snowed from the sky, thousands of questions was asked. What has happened? What will become of peace? Curiosity became a main figure of everyones mind and then we ask...

Ezekiel is in his father study, a book in his hand. It seems like he's trying to decipher every word he has read, judging from the look on his face. His brows bridging and eyes glued in every word he reads.

While he was drowned with his book, he didn't noticed when his mother entered the room.

Amihan was looking for her husband when she saw her son drowned in a book he was holding. Instead of disturbing him, she leaned on one of the rooms pillar and just gazed at her handsome son. His look reminds her so much of a young Ybrahim but his studious character reminds her more of her younger self.

"At ano ang iyong binabasa, rehav?" Amihan asked while steal leaning in one of the pillars. Her lips stretched in every side.

Ezekiel raised his head and was a little startled to see who that voice was.

"Inay! Kanina ka pa ba dyaan?" Asked Ezekiel as he quickly hid his book at his back. The move confused Amihan and she moved closer to her son.

"At ano ang iyong tinatago?" Teased Amihan as she moved closerto her son.

"Wala ito ina." Said Ezekiel defensively and still hiding the book on his back.

"Ezekiel." Amihan continuedly teased in a scary tone as she raised her hand to reveal her gem and light came out of her eyes.

"Ina!" Ezekiel yelled at his mother as he was forced by fear back to the chair.

Amihan burst into laughter as she hids her gem once again.

"Agape ave anak." Amihan said.

Ezekiel, after weighing all his options, knows there's nothing to do but surrender. He finally revealed the book in his hand.

"Lavne Ivi Encantadia (Introducing Encantadia)" as the title goes.

Amihan's smile quickly faded when she saw the book in Ezekiel's hand. Her face became stone-serious.

"Ezekiel, saan mo nakuha ang librong iyan? Hindi ba't isa yan sa mga librong pinangangalagaan ng Lireo na tanging mga matataas lamang ang kantungkulan ang nakakahawak?" Amihan said alarmed.

Ezekiel rose to his feet.

"Agape ave, Ina. Simula ng may mangyari sa aking koronasyon ay sinubukan kong maghanap ng sagot at maintindihan ang mga nangyayari. Una kong sinubukan kayong tanungin ngunit napagtanto kong ayaw ko na kayong mabagabag pa kaya napagpasyahan kong magtungo sa Lireo. Sinubukan kong maghanap ng librong sasagot sa aking mga katanungan ngunit wala akong mahanap. May nakapagsabi sa akin na may mga natatanging librong pinangangalagaan ang Lireo kaya't sinubukan kong maghalungkat doon." Explained Ezekiel remorsefully.

"Ngunit tinatago ito sa isang mahiwagang silid. Papaano ka nakapasok doon?" Asked Amihan as she leaned her bottoms on Ybrahim's desk, her son on eye level.

"Gamit ang isang susing binigay sa akin ng tagapagbantay ng silid-aklatan." Ezekiel further explained, his head bowed lower in remorse.

"Ngunit bakit niya ito ginawa ngayo't alam niyang ito'y pinagbabawal" amihan asked herself. She turned to look at her son once again.
