"Slow downnnnn!" Adelaine shouted as the clouds gently hit her cheeks, Syrax fastly taking down the path to the direction of the Dragonpit.
"Shut up, you like it" Rhaenyra teased her friend, the golden dragon flying with the girls on its back above the King's Landing.
"Look, idiot!" the princess tapped Adelaine on one of her hands that were gripped tightly on the silver-haired's waist.
"I knew this wasn't a good idea. Why in the Seven have I agreed to it?!" Adelaine mumbled, holding her eyes tightly closed and trembling a bit as the cold hard wind blowed few red locks to her back.
"Just open your eyes, Adds!" Rhaenyra softly goaded her friend, Adelaine frightened but curious in the same time, gaped her green eyes and at the magical sight beneath her the Hightower girl remained surprisingly amazed.
"Oh my! Seven Heavens! This is wonderful, Nyra!" Adelaine exclaimed laughing with gaiety slowly inclining her head to have a better look at the view of the city in that morning.
"Told you" the princess added with a small smirk that Adelaine was lucky to not notice or she would get angry once again. Rhaenyra took another path this time flying towards the Red Keep, Queen Aemma, Rhaenyra's mother, was pregnant in nine moons already and with that Rhaenyra's worries grew larger with everyday passing by. Adelaine was always there to cheer up the princess with her joyful and full of light spirit but for a few weeks until now it hadn't granted any results, Rhaenyra was in silent pain and better than any people Adelaine understood her feelings. She aswell had lost her mother not so long ago and it still hurt her heart at the mere memory of that surrowfull day, unlike Adelaine and Alicent who had cried and screamed for their mother's unexpected leaving, Otto Hightower didn't show any emotions, he was sad of course but the lord was not so good at expressing it.
As soon as Syrax landed on the ground of the dragonpit, the keepers carefully took care of it.

"Dohaeras, Syrax!" a keeper spoke in high valyrian making the golden dragon rumble.
"Umbas! Rybas!" another two guided her as Rhaenyra and Adelaine climbed down from its saddle.
"I. Am. Never. Doing. That. AGAIN!" Adelaine exclaimed slightly relieved that she had not died and safely arrived to touch the earth with her feet unharmed. Rhaenyra laughed at the red-head's comment while gently rubbing Syrax on its long gold neck.
"Welcome back, princess and lady Hightower." Ser Harrold Westling happily uttered from the back of his horse milles away from the dragon, Rhaenyra and Adelaine turned at him bowing their head slightly.
"I trust your ride was pleasant." the man added in a hopeful tone, Adelaine scrunched her nose heavily not being on the same opinion as Ser Westling.
"Not for both of us, ser" Adelaine said but not so loud for the knight to hear it, only Rhaenyra who laughed a bit. "Try not to look too relieved, ser" she joked as her and Adelaine walked arm in arm to the carriage where Alicent was waiting.
"I am relieved. Every time that golden beast brings you back unspoiled, it saves my head from a spike" Ser Harrold added but the girls did not payed such attention to it.

"Syrax is growing quickly. She'll soon be as large as Caraxes and Kaylex" Alicent quothed looking at Rhaenyra's dragon, Caraxes and Kaylex were Prince Daemon's and Prince Aegon's dragons, the two younger brother's of King Viserys and Adelaine's most disliked people in whole Westeros, in fact she didn't have anything towards prince Aegon, he was much noble and dutiful than the reckless and prideful Daemon could ever be.
"She can saddle two as you see. Next time if you want you can change seats with Adelaine" Rhaenyra happily said as Adelaine quickly nodded her head walking up the steps on the carriage next to her sister.
"I agree big sister! She's all yours" Adelaine tapped Alicent on the shoulder before entering the carriage but Alicent quickly grabbed her hand.
"You know father isn't going to be fond of this adventure of yours, Addy" Alicent whispered into Adelaine's ear, the girl scoffed before looking straight into her older sister's eyes.
"Only if he finds out about it.." Adelaine added with a smirk as Alicent rolled her eyes.
"You know, I don't like when I must cover you up, Addy!" Alicent complained as all the three girls entered the carriage.
"You don't cover her up, just... keep a tiny secret" Rhaenyra said with a grin sitting down beside Adelaine, the girl chuckling a bit because of her sister's slight embarrassment.
"Fine. But I'm quite content with being a spectator, thank you" Alicent that as all the three girls started laughing amused by their situation while the carriage made its way into the city and to the Red Keep.
