RETURNING BACK to King's Landing made Adelaine's heart jump out of happiness, though she adored to spend time with Rhaenyra on Driftmark and encourage her that she is going to be an extraordinnary queen, Adelaine missed her sister like nothing more, she and Alicent hadn't talked for over two weeks now so she couldn't wait for the ship to stop at the harbour for her to jump out of it and run fastly in the carriage that would bring them to the Red Keep only to embrace Alicent tightly, then they, along with Rhaenyra, would walk into the Godswood to chat about what has been on Driftmark or what has happened at the Red Keep while they had been missing.

"At least one of us is joyful" Rhaenyra's voice cracked as she walked on the deck next to Adelaine who was staring down at the infinite sea, leaned on the wooden ceiling and lost in her thoughts until the princess awoke her mind.

"Well... I'm stoked to see Alicent, you know. I haven't seen her lately" Adelaine breathed titling up her chin as she turned to face the Targaryen princess. Rhaenyra formed a sweet smile on the corner of her lips as she nodded "I only could wish to sympathize the same feeling as you... having a sister or brother..." the princess sighed proping on the wooden ceiling with her arms observing the sparkling blue waves. Her lips quivering as the mere image of her mother's dead body on the bed after the childbirth appearing suddenly in her head, it was heartbreaking to imagine such a tragic fate of a woman and her only daughter who got left without a maternal figure in her life forever.

"Rhaenyra, I'm—" the red headed gently touched her shoulder but her words got interrupted by the announcing of ship slowly arriving at the harbour.

"It's.... alright...' the princess put her hand up in order to tell her best friend that she wasn't bothered, upset or maybe even heavy-hearted, Rhaenyra's feelings were in fact without description because the sentiments were vague, erased to be more truthful, after suffering for countless months owing that her precious beloved mother had left the princess with absolutely nothing. Didn't Aemma know how her daughter treasured her? That she was the most pertinent person in Rhaenyra's life since she was a little child? But all that had no value now, remaining in the past and affecting the future only if Rhaenyra would allow it.

Walking down on the deck, Adelaine and the princess Rhaenyra were awaited by none other than Otto, the last person Adelaine wished to see again after her relaxed days spent on Driftmark.
"Your grace. Princess, Daughter" Otto made a respectful bow with his hands folded in front, Adelaine only nodded at the sight of her father, her eyes secretly searching for her older sister, Alicent whom as it seemed was not present to greet them at their arrival back, could have been considered disrespectful but Rhaenyra was not that kind of princess and furthermore Viserys was not paying that much attention in that certain moment.
