Midnight

Sonic

„What do you mean, what was I supposed to do?! I'm not a doctor tails!"

„You could of least catched him!"

„Stop arguing and wake him up! Or I'll punch him, then he surely will wake up!"

„No Knuckles!" all agreed in unison.

„Tails do something already! Your the most intelligent here! Wake my sonic up!" Amy yelled.

„Gosh stop gatekeeping sonic like he's an object!" Rouge clarifies.

„Shut up rouge!" Amy yells.

„Tsk."

„Try water." Said by someone i couldn't identify.

„AGH!" I wake up half wet, my eyes squint after I look right into a bright light, „oops sorry sonic" tails pulls away the lamp.

I was surrounded by; tails, rouge, Amy, knuckles and... Shadow. I hold eye contact with him for a split second.
I felt guilty for leaving him alone without explanation.

I sigh, tails looked at me worried. „What's up?" I ask him, „where were you?" „Somewhere at emerald city." He frowns, „we hung out, no big deal." Shadow says and everyone turns to look at him. Did he actually just say that ?

He crosses his arms „ Am I not allowed to hang out with Sonic or what?" He hisses. „ No, no, you are! It's just new that's all. Heh." Tails says, rubbing his neck. It was new for tails and knuckles, but tails didn't seem to care about it. „He's our enemy, tho?" Knuckles says and asks, „not anymore. Me and Sonic are ... Friends now." He sighs and slightly smiles, Tails had that sheepishly smile set up „so you're our friend too?" He ask excited „No." The smile breaks „well that's ok!" He speaks sadly. „ Well it's nice to hear you cleared your differences!" Tails holds a thumb up, „Fox, come with me" knuckles holds tails shoulder and drags him in another room.

Knuckles

„Fox, he's surely planning something bad." I whisper to tails, „he wouldn't, I mean, come on- he brought Sonic here, and he wouldn't have done that if they weren't friends!" he says, I frown „it could be a trick" he sighs „don't overthink it, knuckles. We keep an eye on it. I don't think it's a trick, but I don't want you to worry." He smiles, I sigh. „Ok fine, you'll see I'm right." I say.

Shadow
As soon as knuckles and tails came back in, everyone stopped their conversations.

Knuckles gave me a glare, and I frowned at him. He goes to Sonic and talks with him, and I dont listen to them. I close my eyes and rest my arms over my chest. What was I even doing here, tho? I'm quite sure I was just here because of Sonic, and he seems fine. I think we hung out enough tho and it's midnight, so I might go now. „chaos control" I mumble and disappear out of the room.

Tails
As I and knuckles came back into the room, everyone stopped their conversations. I don't know why they did that, but knuckles started to talk with Sonic.

Shadow was leaning on a wall crossing his arms, I wanted to talk to him and what happend but just as I stood Infront of him he chaos controlled away- „ah" I stood there with a surprised reaction. Well, I guess I gotta ask Sonic.

I turn around and walk towards Sonic. knuckels playfully punch's his shoulder and then sit down. Wonder what they talked about. „Hey sonic!" I greet him again,

„hey bud, what's up?"

„I wanted to check on you."

„I think I'm fine."
