I didn't know what this feeling was, eliciting goosebumps all over my skin. Every single time I was anywhere near him. Weird enough,I felt myself melt and relax, which wasn't right. Being vulnerable around your mortal nemesis was never a good start. And I didn't fuck around with feelings. Messing with them could lead to anything, it could be magnified just as easily as being ruined to pieces that even the naked eye couldn't distinguish.
And here on was my sign to start withdrawing. If I truly wanted out an out, I had to call it all off. All these petty games, the rank fight and the first step would be backing off from this supposed batch shadi.
This would be my usual protocol. But the only problem was that I wasn't someone who backed off a challenge. And love was just a losing game. It was a matter of time we lost ourselves to it, and there were no depths to it. People were merely fooling themselves if they thought they could control how deep they chose to fall for someone.
The whole point of love was that you can't choose who you love with and under what circumstances. Be it on a ship with dying people, be it lifelong friendships or be it enemies.
Sometimes we don't get to decide what path we walk on. Jodiyan rabb bana ke behejta hain. (God makes pairs)
Sometimes destiny doesn't hold your hand and take you in a direction, it slightly nudges you and if youre stubborn like me, the unknown strings yeet you on a whole new path.I was falling. And I wasn't an ignorant idiot to turn a blind eye to it.
I was determined to win. Being this competitive was in my blood and I wasn't one to lose. This was going to be a tough chess board. No storms could be foreseen and no contingencies estimated. There was only one way I could win this losing bet.
Make him fall in love before I fall too deep.⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ੈ✩‧₊˚˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ೃ⁀➷
