Aadriti's Pov

My body relaxed whilst tensing up somehow.

I stopped myself from clawing out his eyes and put a hand firmly on his chest, pushing him to a distance. With a puzzled look, he asked "Anything wrong babe?"

Lekh, the golden boy with starry eyes. And also my about-to-be ex boyfriend.

"Yup. We gotta talk about something." I kept my tone even and a straight face.

I've been meaning to talk it out with him for a good while now.

"Yeah, totally. What is it, baby?" He said with a hand in his hair, styling it.

"Not here, lets go somewhere else."

His eyebrow rose and slight annoyance flickered in his eyes. "I want us to talk here." He left no room for negotiation.

"Fine, whatever. Lets get this done with." I took off all my expressions and looked in his eyes. "Congratulations on being single again." I smiled coldly.

As soon as he grasped onto the words that flew from my mouth, he was onto me. His hands clutching my shoulders tightly and his face was on mine, blooming red.

"You're breaking up with me?" he let out a laugh of disbelief. "Oh comeon Aadriti. You didn't find anything better to joke about? What kind of prank is it?" He looked in my eyes, searching for some sort of answer. That I'll eat my words and walk into his arms like the keyed doll i was.

I stood my ground and matched his attitude. "I'm not joking Lekh. We're done."

I huffed. "I'm done. Always cleaning up behind your messes, the sneaky texts and the so-called business partners of yours. I know all about those hook ups you go for, all behind my back." I folded my arms on my chest and kept my eyes unfailingly trained on him. Waiting for the manipulation to start.

"No baby. What're you talking about? I'm sure you've got the wrong idea. I'm your boyfriend. Just yours. Why would you think otherwise?" His grip remained harsh as the look in his eyes tightened. His jaw was clenched.

"I know all about you and that side chick." I said, sighing. This drama was turning tiring at this point.

"Comeon baby, someone riles you up against me and you believe them? Just look in my eyes. Do you think I'd do that to you?" He said, as if trying to enchant me.

But all these efforts to retain me in a loveless relationship? Well, Lekh was also a business major like me. Ofcourse he'd be inclined to make the best negotiations, taking up the best offers.

"Being with me would bring him the world. I'd already set foot in the business world with all my dad's venture and being a St. Marissa's alumni would be the cherry on top. I was rich, smart and beautiful. Just being my side would bring him endless opportunities.

And he thought I was a naive, just daddy's spoiled princess or let's say papa ki pari.

He's wrong about the naive part though.

"Alright Lekh, wrap this up. I've got more important work to attend to." I tilted my head.

"You think this is all a joke? We've been together five months Aadi! Five?! Did it mean nothing you you? Am I trash?" He was getting closer to his limit.

Oh, I forgot to mention. He's got severe anger issues and gaslighting skills. But I ain't a loser either.

"I didn't say it. But I'm not gonna deny it either." Yes, he's trash.
