Fighting in the streets is definitely cooler than anywhere else. There, no one really has the guts to stop you from hurting anyone. Its a place where rules are easily broken and no one even cares to notice. But right now, we're taking off the streets as our battlefield. I guess its time to step out of our comfort zone, and head exactly at the lion's den.
As much as going to Skylar's house sounds like were going on a different level, he left us with no choice. Should I ever find any marks of wound, no matter how big or small; should I find traces of tears on Lori's face, that fucking scumbag will pay.
My grip tightened on my Nightshade, improving its acceleration. Thanks to Zhang Ji's cooperation and empathy when he found out that Lori broke up with me, we managed to get ourselves moving instead of just panicking in the corner. Beside my motorcycle is Huang Shuo, also riding his Denim, and in front of us is Yu Junxi who's also riding his own.
Ofcourse, we're not going to douche's place empty-handed.
"You look sort of calm, despite that your girlfriend's at risk. Ex-girlfriend, I mean." I don't know if Shuo is genuinely speaking his mind or just wants to tease me.
"I'm saving my energy for later," I replied. "I'm sure Skylar wouldn't go as far as getting Lori on his hands without heavy preparations."
"So you're saying he might already be expecting us to come over his place?"
"Nicole is still Skylar's puppet," I said. "The words coming out from that girl's mouth was possibly planned. For now, we can't trust anyone."
I narrowed my eyes upon hearing a weird approaching sound.
"Someone's coming." Shuo sensed it as well.
"Ya," A motorcycle went on my other side. A sigh of relief escaped from my lips, finding that it was Zhang Ji. "You didn't even wait for me. You think you can go fight an enemy without me?"
I shrugged. "I just thought you wouldn't want to see Nicole anymore. It'd be difficult for you to move on."
"Oh, coming from the guy who's dumped by his girlfriend?"
"Whatever." I clicked my tongue. Tch, I was just trying to sail their ship, how come the topic was shifted to me?
"So what are you going to do after saving her? You're not gonna ask her to come back, are you?"
I sighed. "I don't know. That's not what matters for now."
"We're getting close," Yu Junxi loudly spoke in front of us. Thanks to his words, he unintentionally pulled me from having a train of thoughts. We slowed down our engines as we finally saw a large house standing at the edge of the one way road. There were no any other houses around. Definitely a perfect place for fighting.
We smoothly parked our motorcycles without any sounds. The white modern house was still a few meters away from us, but it would be better to be discreet and not get attention. We stepped down our vehicles and started moving towards the house. I wonder what's going on inside right now.
Despite that were aware that there's such thing as 'gates,' we headed towards the barriers surrounding the house. Effortlessly, we climbed the fence and jumped over. We're used to doing such things especially when we decide to escape school: our main source of life problems. Its a coping mechanism for stress, actually.
We were supposed to get moving when Ji spoke.
"Guys, I think I hit on someone."
"You did what with who?"
