ZUO HANG

All of them are surrounding me. Arthur and his friends, Skylar and his friends, and also Huang Shuo—without his friends.

Zhang Ji's motorcycle was no longer within my eyeshot when I tried to peek at their direction once more. He better guard Florianne with his life or else he'll face a situation much worse than mine.

I clenched my jaw. Huang Shuo came here all by himself, without Zivar or anyone else. This isn't what I planned for. As much as possible, all threats to Florianne should've been drawn close to me. Zivar sure does know his choices. He doesn't care if I lick his enemy's shoes.

"Where's my daughter?" Arthur walked close to me like a trained soldier, a long barreled gun on his arms.

"Who knows? You're her father. Shouldn't you know her well enough to know where she went?" I questioned back. At this point, I'm just buying myself time to think even further.

"I am perfectly aware of that. But you, you're my daughter's boy—" he halted his words. I tried to hold myself from smiling but I couldn't stop it. Even Arthur knows that I'm in a relationship with Florianne? That's an achievement.

"They already broke up." Skylar suddenly entered the conversation. Ofcourse, he's going to spoil the fun.

"She broke up with me for the sake of someone's plan," I glanced at Huang Shuo for a sec. He's the root to all of this. "She didn't really want to separate with me. And that means were still together."

"Oh, but she did. And who knows if she's been waiting to get out from your manipulations?" Skylar stepped forward. "Its clear that you don't care about her. You just needed her, that's it."

"What's with the crazy talk?" I raised an eyebrow. "I'd seriously bury your head to the ground if you tell me that you have feelings for her as well."

"Bury me? with your injured shoulder?"

"Sure can." I replied and was about to attack his injured leg when Arthur spoke once again.

"Enough." Arthur heaved a sigh. "I am going to ask you one last time, young man." He looked at me straight, almost a glare. "Where is my daughter?"

I looked around me. No one is coming. No cars, no vehicles, no choppers arriving. That old man really doesn't have plans of moving his ass for me, huh?

I clicked my tongue. Its hard to expect anything from him after all. But I could never show that I'm desperate of being saved. Appear weak when you are strong and appear strong when you are weak, that's what they said.

"You know, leaving me in an open area isn't really a good plan," I spoke, leaving Arthur in slight confusion but shrugged it off anyways. Someone neared to him and bowed first before speaking.

"Sir, Zivar and his group are on their way."

"Coming in chopper?"

"In sedan cars, sir."

"It'll take them forever to arrive." Arthur seemed frustrated. "Return his young to the manor before he escapes." Arthur gave out his orders as he started stepping out of the scene. Men neared to me and grabbed me by the arm, tying my hands tight while the others pointed me their guns in case I attempt to fight.

Aside from Arthur, even I am frustrated that my grandfather is coming in cars. That could mean that they might encounter Zhang Ji and Florianne along the way.

"Worried for her?" Skylar came beside me. He seems confident simply because I'm tied up and I can't push a bullet down to his throat.

"None of your business."

He chuckled. "Drop the act, Zuo Hang. Everybody here wants her only for one single purpose." He looked at me as if he knew my deepest intentions. "The first person who gets to her wins the game. You might have won her heart, but she hasn't fulfilled her purpose yet. She can still belong to anyone else."

"Oh, like you?" I looked at him sardonically. "You had all the chances to get her to your side when I wasn't around. And yet you're still incapable."

"Do not feel too high, Zuo Hang. So long as she still doesn't know anything, anyone can get her trust and use her."
