chapter 4

They seriously got me fired. I expected a fight or something but getting me fired!? They know exactly that we pogues need our jobs. And they know I had every right to beat that guy, I wasn't in the wrong.

I guess I have to take John Bs offer and talk to Ward, it's my only option. Plus if I get the job I can annoy rafe whenever I see him. Kind of a win/win. I don't want to see him every day, but I'll make the best out of it and I get paid, that's all that matters.
He can't get me fired twice. I'll make sure there won't be any reasons to fire me.

I was infront of a huge house if you even can call it that. It's more of a mansion. I took a deep breath before knocking on the door.
Please don't be rafe. The door opened and a blond girl appeared. Sarah thank god.

She's a Cameron but I kinda like her. She always was nice to me, not the 'fake nice' like all the other kooks. She really is a kind person, there's no reason for me to hate her.

''Heyy, umm is your dad home?'' I asked after I saw her confusion since she never saw me here.

''Hey, yeah he is at the Druthers with John B. Why don't you come in'' She told me not really asking. She opened the door a little wider for me to come in and I did so. ''You and John B are friends, right? I saw you and some others hanging out sometimes.''

''Yeah, he is like a brother to me. He also told me that Ward was looking for an assistend or something like that. That's why I'm here.'' She was smiling at me the whole time, like she loves to find out something new about me. I think it's kinda funny how interested she is in what I tell her.

''I'm not sure but just follow me I'll take you to them. You are Scarlett, right?'' She asked me and started walking through her house. I followed her, I guess she takes me to the Druthers.

''Yes and I guess you are Sarah. Well I don't guess I know it. Everybody knows you, Kook princess'' I smiled at her. I was a littke unsure what to say since we never really spoke.

''I hate it to be called the kook princess. I hate the whole kook vs. pogue thing in generell. I can't see the point behind all of that'' I'm not really suprised that she thinks that. She never seemed to care about that stuff.

''Well most of the kooks think they are better people than us, just because they have more money. But I'm glad to know you're not that kind of kook, different than your brother. No offense but he's a dick''

''No offense taken. You're right about him. I just don't want to be like him'' she sounds so friendly. How can a person be this kind.
We arrive at the Druthers and I see John B and Ward talking.

''Hey, dad. This is Scarlett, do you have some time she wanted to talk to you.'' Sarah introduced me. John B just looked at me confused.

''Hello Mr. Cameron.'' I said. Me and John B did our handshake but didn't talk. My facial expression told him I would explain later, so he didn't ask anything.

''Hello Scarlett, of course I have a minute for you, lets go for a walk. John B I think you know what to do.'' John b nodded and Ward walked of. I walked right next to him.

''Thank you for your time. Uh I heard that you were looking for someone as an assistend, if I remember it right.'' I wasn't really sure what the job is so I don't want to take it before knowing more about it.

''Yes that's right. I am looking for an assistend. You probably want to sign up for it so I'll tell you what your tasks would be.'' I nodded, agreeing to what he said.

''First you should know I don't want someone who brings me coffee and makes an appointment for a massage. I simply look for someone who could do things like bring me my paperwork from my office. Or sometimes just someone who can take care of wheezie. You would just do some little things if I need you. That also means that you have to be flexible. I want that you're always available. The payment would depent on how often I need you. But I can tell you that in the end of a month you would be with 1.500$ it could also be more but just rarely less. I know that you guys need a stable income.'' Holy shit 1.500$ at the wreck it were 750$ if I had a good month.

''That sounds good to me. I am available most of the time so this should work. I also have a bike if I need to drive somewhere so this should work aswell. The payment sounds great. I would really like to start. But would it be possible to make a trial month so I could see if that job fits into my life'' I always ask for a trial month just to make sure I can live with the job.

''That sounds fantastic. Of course we can do a trial month, that is a good idea and that way we can get used to working together. But I have one question before you start.''

''Yes of course, what is it.'' Only one question? That's new. Normally I get asked like hundreds of unnecessary questions, but I will take it.

''So why did you choose to change your job?'' Shit if I tell him he will think I am a thief, but if I lie that's worse.

''Well kind of a funny story. I worked at the Wreck and in the end of the day there are leftovers which would end up in the garbage. But I don't like to waste food if there is someone who would like to eat it, so I always gave my friends the leftovers. I didn't think it would make a problem, since nobody would had a use for them anymore. My boss thought otherwise. He told me that he thinks I was stealing so he fired me. But it's also on me I should have asked him if it was alright, but I learned from that.'' I answered honestly. Lying would only make this worse and it's true, I learned from my mistake.

''Okey, that is interesting. But I like that you think of your friends and that you don't want to waste things if there is another use for them. I would like you to work for me and see if this partnership will work out. But if you think of something like that please tell me before I have to find out myself.'' He held out his hand for me to shake, to make this a deal.

''Of course, I don't make the same mistake twice don't worry.'' I take his hand and the deal is set. We were already on the way back to John B.

''You can start tomorrow. Just come here with John B, I saw you two were friends. You will get a work- phone and we will see if you can help me out or go home.''

''Yes, this sounds good I will drive of with John B aswell if that's alright.'' I really hope I can go home now this day was exhausting.

We arrived at the Druthers and John B was finished. We goodbyed Ward. Sarah hugged me as goodbye and we were on the way to the Twinkie.

Sarah is literally so cute I love her.

I trie to update as often as possible but right now it's a little crazy private so I don't know how much time I will find to write thr book.
