[chapter 12]

spoiler: this is going to be a sad one ya'll

[AJEY'S POV]

every second she took to think was making my heart sink deeper and deeper. What was she thinking? I was very curious, I know I said I'd accept her decision but deep down I wanted her to say yes, I couldn't take no for an answer. What would I do if she left? I've never had these feelings for anyone else except her, I couldn't live without her. She finally said after thinking for what felt like an eternity.

[Kiara]: I'm sorry but..

no.

please no.

[Kiara]: but.. I can't just develop feelings for you just because you do. I-

[Ajey]: It's okay Kiara, I understand-

[Kiara]: NO AJEY PLEASE Don't think that I hate you or something, I need some time to think, It's better for us both if we take a break and distance ourselves because this ... this bond between us is too precious to lose and I don't want to end things... like this. Give me some time... please?

She put her hands around my face and had tears in her eyes. I couldn't even look into her eyes as I couldn't let her see my teary eyes.  I closed my eyes and was just feeling her hands on my face... for the last time (I hope not) 

[Ajey]: If it makes you happy, sure. I'll drop you home tomorrow- 

[Kiara]: today? please?

she smiled and it made my heart melt again. GOD! She knew how to get things done her way. Her smile always did something to me, to my mind, to my body, to my emotions.  I couldn't deny it.

[Ajey]: Sure Kiara, as you wish.

She put her forehead on mine and I could feel her breath. Her every breath was making me want her even more. She did not have anything to pack as she came empty-handed. She had just put Ruby in her basket which I brought.

[Kiara]: I think we should go now...

[Ajey]: One more minute, please.

She sighed and hugged me after a minute. I hugged her back and just didn't want to leave her. I was smelling her hair, it smelled like the shampoo I'd put in her bathroom. She pulled apart and I called the driver to bring the car and he did after a few minutes. We both went outside and the weather got rainy. I opened the front door for her but she quickly opened the back door and sat behind; I did the same. The driver started driving (he knew where to go) There was complete silence between us the whole ride, She was looking outside the window and I was looking at her. My place was at the corner of town where people hardly lived, that's why it was so secretive. After a long journey, we were at her house and the rain was still there. 

She got out of the car and I came out too with an umbrella in my hand. I went around the car towards her while she had already found a shelter. She stood there looking at me and I was confused.

Am I looking too hot in the rain?

But then I realized she was just standing there for me to hand over her stuff. I took her keys and her phone out of my pocket and handed them to her. She took them and hugged me instead of saying thank you.

Her warm body around me felt so good. She then whispered

[Kiara]: Thank you..

[Ajey]: I'll wait for your reply.

[Kiara]: What if I don't reply?

[Ajey]: You will, I trust you.

[Kiara]: What if I disappear?

I broke the hug.

[Ajey]: Magician main hu aur gayab tum hogi?

She smiled.

[Ajey]: I'll find you if you disappear.

[Kiara]: What if I die?

[Ajey]: Pagal hogayi ho?

[Kiara]: Acha leave this, bring Ruby upstairs, please.

I turned around, picked up Ruby from the car, and went upstairs while she had already unlocked the door. She was standing at the door and I handed over the basket and she put it to the side. Now I did not know what to do, she was at home, my job was done here, maybe I should go? She looked at me one last time and closed the door.

ufff I'll miss those eyes

 I looked at her door one last time and went back home.

[KIARA'S POV]

I was at home, wow. I didn't think it would be that easy... but to my surprise, he agreed and things are now back to normal.. but until when?

I showered and changed into my pj's, and just laid down on my bed, thinking about everything going on in my life, and before I knew it, I was asleep.

*alarm sound*

HUH? Who set that up?

 I woke up hurriedly, and when I looked at the time, I changed my alarm to 8 instead of 4. Yeah, I had realized that life won't get better even if you wake up at 4 AM. and then I slept again.

*alarm again*

Fuck I have to get up now!

 I sat on my bed, rubbing my eyes. My sleep schedule was ruined! I got out of bed and as I was tying my hair into a bun and was looking out the window, I saw Ajey standing afar. I quickly rubbed my eyes to have a clear look but no one was there! 

I'm just hallucinating. It's nothing.

-I told myself

I then quickly got ready and left for work after giving Ruby food. I didn't even have breakfast that day. I quickly booked a cab and reached Zoro's (That's the cafe's name). I got out of the cab and saw that someone had already opened the cafe. I entered and got to know that My Boss, Nina, had already opened the cafe and was arranging stuff.

Shit, I didn't even prepare an excuse for my leave!

 She turned around and was delighted to see me. We were great friends and she never made me feel like she was the boss, her personality was jolly and sweet. She then inquired about me,

[Nina]: Oh My God! Look who's back! Where were you girly?

I smiled and she hugged me.

[Kiara]: I had some work to do. I hope these cats behaved well.

[Nina]: They. Were. Out of control! Only you know how to handle them well.

[Kiara]: Now I'm back, don't worry! 

[Nina]: Oh btw, we restocked the cat food so can you be the cashier today, I have to do some extra work.

[Kiara]: Sure I don't mind!

[Nina]: Thanks a lot babes!

I'm straight babes.

I went to check on the cats, gave them treats, and started arranging items in the cafe. I sat down under the counter to check for treats when a customer came in. I stood up while I was still looking for treats under the counter.

[Kiara]: Welcome to Zoro's, what can I get for you today- 

I looked at the customer and couldn't believe my eyes. IT WAS HIM AGAIN!
