Janet
"Are you serious?"

"Yes, Janet." The detective spoked to me. "We confirmed the DNA of the person and all we have to do is set things up to catch them with evidence."

"Oh my god. Who is it?"

"Well, you'll find out. According to something we overheard about the person's plans. They are going to come after you the next time you're home alone."

"So?"

"So Janet, you're going home."

"What?" Denzel stood up. "No way."

"Denzel, it's the only way to catch the girl."

"But.."

"She won't be there alone. We'll be there. Joey has offered the use of his apartment across the hall. We'll have cameras set up and she'll have on a bulletproof vest. They'll even be someone in the apartment with her." Denzel looked at me.

"I don't know."

"Denzy, we have to find out who it is."

"Why can't you just tell us?"

"It's been heavily suggested that you can't know by someone."

"Who?"

"Joey."

"Okay." Denzel sat down.

"Just like that? You're going to agree?"

"Yeah. The only person that's been with me longer than Joey is Terri and if he says that I shouldn't know yet, then I trust him."

"You're sure?"

"Yes. Does Joey think this plan is a good one?"

"He came up with it."

"He did?" They nodded. "But I thought he wasn't helping and taking some time off."

"All part of the plan." I smiled knowing that Joey was okay. It made me feel better and not as guilty.

"Then let's do it. When are we doing this?"

"We can do this as soon as tomorrow, but you have to tell your dancers and team that you're going home. That way the person knows and thinks you're safe. They'll think they have a clear way to attack."

"You know this how?" asked Denzel.

"This is what I do and it's typical of these types of criminals. All they're waiting for is an opportunity and since this person has been after Janet for so long, they won't pass this up. As far as they know, Joey is on a leave and Janet will be home alone. They're now passing this up and that's how we'll catch them."

"Okay I'm trusting you, man. Nothing better happen to her." I watched Denzel run his hands together. "I'm serious."

"No worries. We've went over this several times and played it out. We're good."

"How did you guys play it out?"

"Your sister, LaToya. She played you in the scenarios." I smiled.

"Cool."

"Alright, so tell your team you're going home then pack your things and we'll escort you."

"Alrighty." I got up and called Gil.

"Hello."

"Hey, boo. Just letting you know I'm going home."

"What? They caught her?"

"No, but me going home is a part of the plan."

"What plan?" I explained the plan to him and he asked the same questions Denzel asked. "I just don't know, Jan."
