Janet
"I can't believe you're even here."

"I'm here because I have a right to be here."

"Not in my book."

"Hey, your father would be in prison right now if it wasn't for me."

"And it would be rightfully done because of what you did to me."

"Oh, please Janet, stop with that story. No one ever touched you."

"Are serious right now?"

"Yes."

"Are you so fucking serious right now?"

"Yes."

"Ohhhh..you know what you did. You know what you said. You did that to me and you know you did. Why are you even here?!"

"Hey, what's all this yelling we heard it from down....oh my god."

"Auntie Lula, make him leave." I went over to her.

"Luther, what you here for? You ain't supposed to be here."

"My brother sick and I came to see him."

"Naw, you can't be 'round here. You best go on some where." my Uncle Lawrence spoke.

"I ain't going no where cause of no lie."

"You calling my niece a lie?" My aunt stepped in front of me. "Now ya pissing me off. I don't like no liars and I don't like no man who be harming women, especially they kin folk."

"Lula Mae, you my sister. You stand by me."

"I stand by right and right now, you is wrong. So go on and get the steppin, fore I put my foot in the better part of you black ass." Uncle Luther looked around.

"Go on, brother." said Uncle Lawrence.

"I see what it's like. Fine, I'm leaving." Uncle Luther left out.

"You alright, sweetie?" She held my face.

"I'll be okay. I just can't believe his holding up this lie."

"It be like that with abusers. They don't like they dirt being brought out."said Uncle Lawrence.

"But we gone bring it out." I nodded and cried. "What's wrong, sweetie?"

"Nothing,,,it's just...he used to tell me that no one would believe me because....it doesn't matter." I wiped my face. "Where's Joseph's doctor, mother?" I went over to her.

"He'll be back in soon. We just need to be calm. Sit here." I sat next to her and she held my hand.

"Babe.." Denzel came into the room.

"What's up?"

"Is everything okay? I saw your uncle leaving and he was pretty mad."

"Yeah. Auntie Lula gave him the business and said he wasn't allowed around anymore." He looked at my aunt and held his fist out. She put hers against his.

"Your family is full of gangsters, huh?" He kneeled next to me.

"You know it." I held his chin and pecked his lips. He held on a little longer at the end.

"Okay, that's enough." Uncle Lawrence spoke up and hit Denzel's back. "She's grown, but leave those activities away from our view." We laughed and he got up. I stood up and let him sit in the chair before he pulled me onto his lap.

"Aww, Lawrence they cute. Leave them alone." said Aunt Lula.

"Thank you." I laughed. I put my forehead against Denzel's and he chuckled. "What?"

"You're cute."

"Thank you. You're okay too." He wrapped his arms around my waist and tickled me. "Stop it."

"Yeah, seriously." I looked up at Randy.

"Shut up."

"You shut up."

"You're just jealous cause no one likes your milk dud looking behind."

"People like me."

"Mother doesn't count."

"Hey!" She popped my leg.

"Sorry." I rubbed my leg. "Anyway, stop hating, milk dud."

"Whatever."

"Well, well. The whole family's here." The doctor walked in.

"Hi, doctor. Any news?" asked mother.

"Yes, I have the results of everyone's drug test." He pulled the papers out. "LaToya, Janet and Mrs. Jackson were all matches. However, I was told we wouldn't use Mrs. Jackson and LaToya your iron levels are too low for a transplant. You could get very sick."
LaToya looked defeated.

"Well, what about Janet?"

"She is actually a perfect candidate, but maternity patients are not allowed to participate in transplants. However, there is one person who can donate."

"Who?"

"Mr. Chisholm."

"What?" I looked at him. "You got your blood tested?"

"Yeah, anything to help, right?"

"Will you do it?"

"Of course." Everyone started hugging him.

"Thank you."

"Thanks, man." While hugging Denzel, I realized something. I stopped hugging Denzel and looked at the doctor.

"Wait a minute."

"What?" Everyone looked at me.

"Did you say that I couldn't donate was because maternity patients aren't allowed?"

"Yes."

"But I'm not pregnant." He looked at the paper.

"Well, according to this, you are two months."

"What?" I stood up. "W-what?" Denzel stood next to me.

"She's really pregnant?"

"We can confirm again with  an ultrasound, but yes Ms. Jackson is pregnant."

"Oh my god." Denzel hugged me.

"I can't believe it." He picked me up and spun around.
"We're going to have a baby:"

"I know." He kissed me deeply.

"Although this is good moment, we have to get Mr. Chisholm and Mr. Jackson on the pre op floor. There's a series of tests that they must go through. The sooner we start the sooner we can get Mr. Jackson in recovery."

"Okay." Denzel put me down. "Can I go with him?"

"I wouldn't suggest it. It'll be a very speedy process. We don't want Mr. Jackson's liver damage to get worse."

"Okay." He looked at me.

"I'll see you later."

"Alright." He held my face and kissed me again. "I'll be here and I'll get Eissa too so you can see him when you're done."

"Good." He pecked my lips a few times. "I love you."

"I love you too."

"Okay, some transporters will be here in a minute to take Mr. Jackson to pre op and Mr. Chisholm, you can follow me." Denzel followed behind the doctor.

"Oh my god, Dunk. A new baby." Rebbie came and hugged me.

"I know. I'm so excited. I have to make my appointments. Oh my gosh."

"Ohhh.. you think you'll get a girl." asked LaToya. That's when the dream I had months ago came back to my mind. The girl. The dark skin girl who was graduating highschool. Maybe that dream was real.

"Oh I'm definitely getting a girl."
