I actually used to love flying. Apart from the food, which is disgusting. Obviously this was a long haul flight so there were TV screens around, Chrissie had her iPad and was watching Bridesmaids already, it was her favourtie movie at the moment. I'd seen it once before, and quite enjoyd it I must say. But I was watching Monsters VS aliens which was playing on one of the screens just above my head. This was about 10 minutes into the flight, I was already bored, so I got out my drawing pad and a pencil and started sketching an aeroplane, the plane jolted and my pencil skidded across the paper. I heard the famous 'ding ding ding' and a women started talking. "Please be aware that the seatbelt sign has come on due to some minor turbulance." I put on my seatbelt and tapped on Chrissie's shoulder, she took one headphone out, I pointed to the illuminated seatbelt sign and she quickly strapped in. Suddenly the air-conditioning went off and there was a sort of deflating sound across the whole plane. The lights on the smoking and seatbelt signs went off and the plane started bumping up and down violently. Chrissie looked scared, she took her headphones out. "What's going on? I don't like this. Something's wrong." The air hosts and hostesses looked panicked and started patrolling the rows of seats, reassuring people. "Nah, they said, it's just turbulance." Chrissie tried to smile and put her headphones back in, I looked out of the window, we were passing through a cloud, but we were above water, I could tell that much. An air hostess who was passing us rushed towards the announcement system. It looked like it wasn't working, Chrissie was right, something was wrong. I looked out of the window again, it seemed that we were dropping. The cabin crew were rushing along helping everyone to find their life jackets. Chrissie put her iPad away, we looked over at the adults, an alarm suddenly sounded and Cat started to cry, she was sitting next to me. I put my arm around her and tried to reassure her, but I couldn't, not when I didn't believe it myself. A man from the crew came over to us, seeing that Caterina was upset. "Hello." I smiled "now, I thought you might want an explaination as to what's happening here." He said, trying to talk over the alarm. "It seems that this engine is a little bit poorly." He was trying to explain it in a way that Cat would understand "we're going to land, and move to a different aeroplane hopefully." He smiled, it was obvious we weren't landing, we were dropping, but it was best to stay calm. "but you need to pop this on ust so you don't get hurt." He said handing her a life jacket, I helped her put it on. The alarm got louder as we descended faster, and faster. And eventually, hit the ground with the loudest noise you will ever hear. But I don't remember much after that, only waking up in hospital, except, I hadn't woken up yet. I could hear things but I couldn't wake up, my eyes were shut and people were always around me. I didn't like it, and it didn't take long for me to realise I had fallen deep into a coma, my body had shut down around me and it wouldn't be long until my brain did the same, so I kept thinking and working, so it wouldn't. I didn't want to die.
