I was in the canteen, reading my book secretly peeping over the pages occasionally looking for kids around my age who we could recruit. I was halfway down a page when I noticed a girl walk in, I put my book down on the table and walked over to her. "Hey." I said, she had chest length blonde hair and blue eyes, and glasses. She was wearing a blue skater skirt and a white hoodie. She looked like a bit of a misfit. "Hi." She said and before I could say anything else in response "do I know you?" I shook my head and smile, but she didn't smile back. "You look like my brother." She said, and picked up a sandwhich. "You have the same dimples." I smiled again and this time she smiled back.

"I need to ask you something." I said to her, "well firstly, what's your name?" She went to sit down at a table.

"Emily. Emily Oden and I'm 13. And my brother's in the hospital, all you need to know." I bit my lip.

"Why don't you tell me about your brother?" I asked as she opened the box which her sandwhich was in.

"No thanks."

"Why not?!" I frowned, if I could persuade her to work with us I think she'd be valuable. She was very stubbourn. "I don't know you, and my brother's illness is a personal issue. And I don't even know your name."

"I'm Benjamin." I said sadly. "But I need to ask you something." She nodded and bit into her sandwhich. "Well I need your help, to find someone... It's my best friend's sister, when we crash landed, which is why I'm in the hospital, she was lost. And we want to find her but we need more people to help us." She sighed.

"Fine, but only because I don't want your friend to lose their sister."

"Her.... her sister, her name is Christiana and her sister is Katerina."

"Phhh they don't sound posh at all, I don't want to help out some snob here." I shook my head quickly.

"They are not snobs. You can't prove anything just by their names, it's a bit judgemental." She took one last bite of her sandwhich and walked over to the bin. "I'm a very good judge of character." Emily said, "now take me to Christiana, I want to meet her."

"Well if you insist."

"Chrissie?" I opened the door into her room, she was sitting up in bed reading a magazine.

"Yah..." She looked up "who's that?" she asked, looking at Emily.

"I'm Emily, I'm helping to find your sister." Chrissie closed the magazine and folded her arms.

"Oh are you now?" She glared at me. I knew girls either liked or disliked eachother immediately and I wanted them to like eachother "come on Chris, Emily's just trying to be helpful." Emily shook her head slowly "no I want something from this." I gasped as she paced round the room and picked up Chrissie's water and sipped it slowly "put that down." Chrissie said, Emily dropped it on the floor and it smashed. She walked out the room leaving the door open behind her. Me and Chrissie both sat there, shocked at what had just happened. "I don't want that *girl anywhere near my sister"

*Word I am not willing to put down in writing.

"I was just trying to help," I said and sat down on the chair next to her bed. She smiled

"I know you were, and I want to do your plan... I really do, I just don't think Emily is the one to help, she's a little bit too up herself if you get me." I laughed and nodded, then I paused before talking again, and looked at Chrissie slowly "what?" She said, still with a big smile on her face.

"I don't know... Emily just seemed really nice when I first met her, I don't know what happened." Chrissie was playing with the ends of her hair, she looked up and spoke quietly "don't worry about it, you'll get frown lines."
