"I believ young Benjamin has a right to see his sister." I frowned, Doctor Cawley, my doctor, the nice one had made a mistake. "Oh, she's not my sister." The Cawley's looked shocked, but Laura didn't, she knew she was just a friend. "Oh well in that case... You still have the right to see her, let us in." Samuel Cawley blocked the doorway. "I can't, she's in critical conditions and this may upset her heart patterns." Ian Cawley shook his head. "There's nothing wrong with that girl's heart. Let us in this instant." The rude dismissive Cawley scowled and moved out of the doorway, Laura wheeled me over to Chrissie's bedside. She rolled over and looked at me, she looked fine in my view. Just tired. "We'll still get to disneyworld." She was out of breath and wheezed slightly. "Just you wait and see. Mickey Mouse is calling our name." She drew in a long deep breath. "I can hear him." I smiled and looked at the window, I tugged on the blind slightly and it opened. Chrissie squinted. "That's better." She said, and smiled slowly and weakly. "Don't we look sexy in these hospital gowns?" I asked her, joking obviously. She tried to laugh. "I bet I look fat in it." She grumbled, I sighed, she pulled back the covers slightly on her bed. "Even in hospital you're lying to yourself." She shook her head. Laura nodded to me, telling me that it was time to leave. "I'll be in my room." I said "but I'll still be next to you." She smiled and rolled over so she wasn't facing me anymore. Laura came over and put her hand on my shoulder. "You sure will. Doctor Yew is coming to examine you later on." I laughed and so did she. "You serious? That is a wack coincidence." She raised her eyebrows "wow." I said, assuming she meant yes.
"So you're just friends?" Laura asked me as we went down the hallway. I nodded. "Didn't seem like that to me." I frowned and bit my right thumbnail, she wheeled me into the elevator and pressed one of the buttons. "What are you trying to say. She's not my girlfriend. If that's what you're thinking." We arrived back on my floor and she pushed me back out of the lift. "Of course, do you have a girlfriend?" I shook my head. "No, I used to though but then it's kind of pointless at my age because it will never amount." She nodded to another doctor then looked at me. "My parents met when they were thirteen actually. never say never." I sighed a sarcastic laugh. "Do you want to do anything later." I looked at the ground and started fiddling with the band on my wrist. "Ooh you mustn't play with that. Anyway?" She asked me pushing my hand away from my wrist. "Well I know what I'd love to do." She looked at me and smiled as we entered my room. "And what would that be, I'll try and make it happen. But no promises." She helped me back into bed. "Well I started a book when we got on the plane, I wondered if I could read some more... You know, a different copy obviously."
