"So have you changed your plan for the painting or is it still the same?" I ask and she looks over at me as she sets up her new art studio.

"I actually did come up with another idea. Have you thought about working with me?" She asks and looks away from me to grab her sketching pencils.

"I don't know. I still feel like I'd be imposing on the life you've built." I say and she turns towards me.

"Baby, I wouldn't be where I am without you. I would love it if you worked with me on these paintings." She says and I tilt my head slightly, just looking into her eyes.

"You would?" I ask and she nods as soon as the question leaves my mouth.

"Yes, 100%." She says and I smile.

"Okay." I say and she smiles widely. She goes back to getting all of her stuff ready to get started on her painting. She finally got all of her things delivered from her other studio a couple days ago. We spent the entire day yesterday setting it up and I finally got to see the painting she did for me. It's as beautiful as I imagined it would be.

"So what's your idea?" I ask and she pulls out a sketching pencil so that she can get started.

"Well, most of the paintings I have already done are... from a different perspective in my life when things were dark and lonely." She starts to explain as she starts lightly drawing on the plain white canvas.

"But now that I'm here with you, getting another chance, everything feels lighter. Easier." She says, focusing on the lines she's drawing.

"So my idea was to paint the night we saw each other again. Gina's diner. It's empty and we're sitting at the booth by the window just staring at one another." She says and I look at her as she become enthralled with the work.

"What are you gonna name it?" I ask and she looks over at me for a second.

"The Diner." She says and I smile.

"You're so good with change but I like it. Is there anything I can help you with?" I ask and she nods.

"Come here." She says and I stand up, moving so that I'm right beside her. She grabs my waist and pulls me so that I sit on her lap, making me giggle softly. I position myself so that I'm more comfortable and she hands the pencil to me.

"Draw that night." She says softly and places her chin on my shoulder. I smile as I think back on that night. It seems like such a long time ago and it was all so different than how things are with us right now. It's an amazing adjustment.

I feel her arms wrap around my waist as I draw and she rubs her thumbs over my stomach. I smile to myself and keep going. She lays her cheek against my shoulder and I hear her sigh softly.

I focus on drawing the outline of Gina's diner, trying to remember every detail of the diner. I start to get destracted when I feel Dakota push her hands under my shirt and places them against my stomach. She starts moving her thumbs again and my eyes flutter closed before opening again. Any touch from her sends my body into a frenzy, even if it is just a gentle touch like this.

Her hands move a little where her fingers are splayed against my lower ribs and her thumbs are gently pressed into my back. She starts moving her thumbs again and she pulls be back a little so that my back is pressed against her front. She moves her head and brushes her nose against my shoulder slowly. I try my best to ignore her as I start working on the windows of the diner.

One of her hands move out of my shirt and she runs it up the length of my arm, making goosebumps rise. She reaches my shoulder and pulls the neckline of my shirt a little bit to expose my shoulder. Seconds later I feel her lips being pressed against my skin and me sigh softly. She brings her hand back down and pushes it back in my shirt, continuing to run her thumb over my back.
