A snippet (spoiler)

Well, since I'm going on a hiatus, I'm going to leave a snippet of what's coming further so that I can assure you guys that I'll come back to complete both my books and write many more after those. Just as a form of assurance. You guys can ignore it if you don't want a spoiler.

"Hey, brownie, how about Mr. Grumpy? He seems alright." His phone started buzzing in his pocket and he knew exactly what that was. But he wasn't going to run away. Not today. He knows what he's doing. Maybe. He chose to ignore the ache and fumbled with a smile. He looked to his right and knew, what he was about to do, was worth it. Worth him. With a smile plastered smugly on his face and the dull ache still pounding in his chest, he walked forward and turned around. Keeping a safe distance between them.

The buzzing in his pocket continued. "There's a star for everyone. Looking over them every night, making sure they're alright. You wished to have a star, right?" He recited the exact words from the night. He didn't wait for a response, didn't have to. "I want you to look over at the night sky, whenever you are happy or sad. And speak your worries away and I promise you," he smiles wider and widens his arms, "I'll be there, listening to youm making sure you're alright. Loving you, my love." His eyes glistened. Was it the setting sun? Or the tears that threatened to fall? He didn't know. And he didn't bother finding out.

"Until then, Brownie."

He couldn't find it in himself to say the words outloud. The words that choked his heart.

I love you.

Fun fact : before I even started this story, this particular scene was what i had imagined very vividly.
