Boring chap probably. (Apologies my people)

2 weeks. It had been two weeks since the morning in Jun's house. Since Jeonghan and Joshua both had ignored each other's existence drowning themselves in work. They didn't give enough time for their thoughts to bloom, to even invade their minds a little, wanting to forget the pain in their hearts and their exhaustion. They ignored their feelings hoping they would fade away after a while of intruding. Yet, they lingered. Softly submerged into their bodies, tugging at their hearts.

Neither of them blamed the other. Joshua knew who Jeonghan was and what he did. He had opened up the earlier case files from their department, thoroughly going through them. Some cases sent shivers to him almost making him shudder at the terror while some were horror in itself. After years in this profession he knew Jeonghan had no way out of that. But still, there was a part of him that believed Jeonghan would stop. Atleast not torture and murder someone. Atleast after what they had. But again, what did they really have? A fling that unfortunately got strings attached? Atleast for Joshua they got attached. The mafia never clarified his point. Was he to blame though? He never really got the time to tell him.

Jeonghan hated feeling this way. Feeling like he failed. Failed Joshua. The morning still fresh in his mind that would peek in his thoughts every few days. Waltzing through his mind to make him feel more pathetic. He was really pathetic. He stopped doing that after he met Joshua yet, that one day was all it took for it to come crumbling down. The house of warmth and care that he built with Joshua came crumbling down. Jeonghan wished everything could just stop and rewind. He would go back and never let his dumbass to do what he did. He wished he could just erase everything that happened that day, make Joshua forget what he saw. What was worse was that he couldn't even go see Joshua or tell him about how bad he regretted it. He hated how he was held back by fear. Fear of losing.

It wasn't until Seungwoo's father came back did he finally feel free. Free to do as he desired. To go see Joshua and tell him about everything even his feelings if he could. Two painful weeks later he could finally go see Joshua.

"Joshua, can you ask Seungcheol if he's busy this weekend?" Jun asked his friend after plopping down next to him on his seat.

"Why can't you do it?" Joshua was focused on the file in front of him.

"Because he would deny my request." Jun whined.

"And what makes you think he wouldn't deny it if I asked?" Joshua still didn't look up from the file.

"Because he always listens to you!"

"What's the request that you want to make?" Joshua turned the page to look at the next document.

"Would he be willing to go on a date?" Jun took out his phone to look at a certain text.

"A date? With who?" Joshua finally closed he file and looked over at the blond.

"Well, one of my friends has a crush on him." Jun smiled sheepishly.

"Who is this friend that I don't know of?" Joshua frowned.

"I met her at a cafe a few weeks ago. She's a nice girl."

"I can only ask. I'm not going to convince him. Okay?" Joshua stood up from his seat, stretching his arms.

"Done! Just ask him with your cute face and say please with the 'Cheol' and he would melt right there!" Jun smiled enthusiastically at his best friend.

"Fine. But don't blame me if he doesn't agree."

"Okay!"

Everything seemed to be normal now. Except for nights when Joshua would go home. He'd be alone with his thoughts, that's when shit happens. Crying, sobbing, overthinking. Everything seemed to go down when he would be left alone with his mind. Though he had gotten in terms with the situation. He knew he couldn't blame Jeonghan for doing what he did, after all he is a mafia and that's what they do. No matter how much Joshua hated the idea of Jeonghan killing someone he still couldn't get himself to hate him. He was still crazily in love with Jeonghan. He wished Jeonghan would come over one night. Talk to him and assure him that he wouldn't do it again. That he would stop living in his world. That he loved him back. Every night he would wait for a phone call or a text or a knock but nothing came except for the cold empty nights that he laid surrounded by sorrow.
