It's hard to live in a world that wasn't built for you.
To work around the work arounds that others made to live.
Why should one man work for a day in order to obtain what another will work an hour for? If you agree that this is unjust, then you understand why we must be rid of our division.
Why not transcend the boundaries set by genetics and chance? It's a cruel joke that nature plays, pitting one breed against another, each with its unique struggles.
Look at the Dachshund, bred to chase badgers into tight spaces, now dealing with back problems due to its elongated spine.
The Bulldog, with its sturdy build, yet suffering from respiratory issues due to its squashed face.
Greyhound, built for speed, but plagued by the fragility of its sleek frame.
I look at my hands and scream to the mutts, "Do you not see what you're missing?! How hard it's been for you?"
But finally, I've gotten some to listen. I dream that one day, we will live in a world that can truly progress, in which our "uniqueness" isn't synonymous with inferiority. I will show you all the way.
They call him 'Deputy Doge', a stupid fellow. He calls himself the sherif, too, however that goes. But, of the weaker dogs, he inspires hope. Maybe they relate to his struggle? I know he certainly wasn't appointed to fight crime. If his sense of justice brings him anywhere near me, then he will be more than just an obstacle. He's a situation I need to handle carefully. My reputation is at stake. My goal, if he gets that far.
It's a shame that in my time, many won't understand the sacrifice that I've made. But in the end, as long I've saved the people I can, it'll be worth it. The world will be changed, and that'll be a good thing.
