I woke up feeling sick and went to the bathroom to throw up. We were now back from our honeymoon and back to our respective jobs. This feeling of disease has been occurring since a couple of weeks, around the time we came back from our honeymoon, maybe even before.
I hadn't told Albus, there was no need to worry him.
Until I started having doubts and made a pregnancy potion.
Positive. I was pregnant.
I took some time to think about it, about what I'd tell Albus, how he would take it. Was he expecting kids this soon? Did he want to wait? We hadn't talked about it.
I was stressing out for nothing, I knew it, but my head was filled with 'what if's. What if he thought that he wasn't suited to be a father? What if he never wanted any kids, that they were just some old fantasy? What if he left me? I wouldn't be able to raise a child on my own.
When he came during the following weekend, I knew he could see how anxious I was. I had to wait three months. Until I was sure that the baby was fine.
"Is everything fine?" He asked on the Friday evening.
"Yes, why?" I said.
"You look— somewhere else. What is going on?"
I let out a breath as I knew that I could tell him and probably should before I made things worse.
"I'm pregnant," I said.
"Really?!" he asked in disbelief. He seemed happy. Glad, even.
He stood up and hugged me, careful not to hug me too tightly because of the baby that wasn't even one yet.
"For how long—"
"Approximately one month."
"So—"
"Since we came back from the honeymoon, yes."
"And— you're sure?"
"I made the potion twice and even bought a muggle pregnancy test, so, yes, I'm sure. Plus, I didn't have my period last month and they're actually late, so—"
"Right, okay."
"Just to warn you, it could be unhealthy and not make it. We'll be sure that its fine after the first trimester."
"Okay."
"We'll tell our families then."
He grunted. "Urgh it's gonna be hard!"
I laughed. "Yes."
"So— April?"
"Yes."
"Okay!"

After the first trimester, we told my brothers, Albus' family, and our friends about the pregnancy.
They all were excited about it. Maybe even more than us.

We had already thought about a few names such as: Daniel for a boy and Victoria for a girl. It could also be Victor for a boy, though. We were still hesitating. But we both loved Victoria.

On April 19th 1945, I gave birth to a wonderful little boy, Daniel Victor Dumbledore. We had agreed on not naming our kids after us like my parents had done with Robert and I —giving Rob dad's name and me mom's name as a second one—. He had a bit of hair. Auburn hair. Albus'. He probably was the happiest man on Earth. He couldn't take his eyes away from our son more than a couple of seconds. I loved this side of him.
