Slowly regaining consciousness, his vision slowly came into focus, becoming aware of himself in a dimly lit cavern, the air thick with unfamiliar scents tickling his nose through the eerie surroundings. A sense of calmness washed over him, knowing instinctively that he was not in any immediate danger. Yet, a deep sense of unease crept over him, realizing Yuna was nowhere to be found. His mind raced with questions, wondering where she could be and if she was safe. The silence was broken by the soft padding of footsteps. His ears perked up and turned his head to see two wolves emerging from the shadows.

They bore a striking resemblance to Rosalie's pack, however, their fur sported different patterns and hues marking them as distinct from any wolves he had encountered before.
One of the wolves spoke in a language unknown to him, its voice low and guttural. As they drew closer, a sense of trepidation coursed through him, and his instincts bristled with unease. He let out a deep growl without hesitation, fixing his piercing gaze upon them and giving a silent warning to proceed with caution. The wolves faltered, their bodies tense with uncertainty as they hesitated to make a move.

A harsh demand lingered in the air like a storm cloud ready to burst. "I don't know if you can understand me, but tell me where she is," he snarled, his voice cutting through them. The wolves exchanged uneasy glances before reluctantly nodding in unison, despite the language barrier. Relief flooded through him as they motioned for him to follow through the twisted undergrowth of the place, leading him to a clearing where she stood, surrounded by a small pack of majestic wolves.  Her face illuminated by a soft glow of recognition.

"Oh hey, you're awake! Are you feeling, okay?" Her tone gentle yet filled with concern as she inquired. His heart swelled with gratitude and curiosity as he took in the scene before him. "I'm fine, but where are we?" The question tumbled, laden with an untamed sense of wonder. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she spoke, her words painting a picture of perilous landscapes and unseen dangers. "Well, from what I've been told, we are in between the wasteland and the Impaling jungle, edging closer to another treacherous realm. I spoke to the wolves about a missing pack, and they mentioned encountering them.

I can't help but worry about their safety," she murmured. "We'll find them. Did they tell you where they went?" he asked her. She replied, "Yes, but there's something else you should know. The reason why they attacked you was because they had seen another wolf who looked almost similar to you. They even said that this wolf has a pack of its own, lurking at night," she explained, causing his brow to furrow as his thoughts deepened. Something was off, and he knew it.

Sparrow, Rosalie, Sage, Tor, and Aqua had finally found a safe place to rest. They wondered if they had traveled too far from where the rest of the pack had stopped. However, their immediate concern was safety. Sparrow was staring at the glowing orbs lost in thought. He was surprised by his "brother's" bravery when he saw him go after a she-wolf who was not only protecting the pack but also fearless. Shadow's admiration for her was shared by everyone. Yuna was truly unique, that's why the Great Alphas had chosen her to be the savior. She had a kind and compassionate heart and the desire to protect, even when she was at her lowest.

His thoughts were interrupted by Sage's question, "Sparrow, what do we do now?" The pack waited for his response. He took a moment to think before replying. "I think we should wait here. Tomorrow we can scout the area to see if we can find anything, then come back," His words lifted their spirits and gave them hope. Aqua, however, seemed uninterested in the conversation. Sparrow noticed her expression was different; it seemed that something was bothering her. "What's hidden behind those deep blue depths, Aqua?" He asked himself in his thoughts.

When the time came to rest, Sparrow took charge, assigning Sage and Rosalie together while Tor ventured off on his own in search of another path they could use. Aqua was opted to stay behind as her delicate paws were in need of some much-deserved rest. As the others busied themselves with their tasks, Sparrow approached her with a look of concern etched on his face. "Aqua... are your paws, okay?" his voice imbued with warmth. With a gentle nod, she assured him, "They are fine. Thank you." However, the air between them grew heavy with unspoken words, and he knew that now was the time to confront the silence that threatened to engulf them.

With divination in his eyes, he moved closer to her until they stood face to face, their gazes locked in a dance of vulnerability. "Aqua, tell me what's wrong. Do your paws still hurt? or is there something else that's bothering you?", he patiently waited for her reply.  Exhaling, she finally confessed. "Do you remember when we were at Vizel?", she questioned him. "Yes. What about it?", his head tilted in slight confusion. "I overheard your conversation between you and Rosalie that night, saying that she couldn't wait to see a bunch of white buds", her ears slanted. "Why are you concerned about flowers?", his voice and tone were in pure confusion.

"Sparrow, she means it in a different view. She- She wants... to have a family with you", she replied to him. Her chest thumped as her stomach dropped a little. His mind drifted back to that night at Vizel, the memory suddenly tainted by a new perspective. Rosalie's innocent words now took on a deeper meaning, a hidden desire for a future that he had never considered. Could it be that Aqua's interpretation was correct? Was he blind to the subtleties of Rosalie's feelings all this time? She was about to continue but was interrupted when Tor arrived. His chest was heaving up and down, which looked like he had been running.

"Tor what's wrong?", his tone imbued with concern. "We need to get out of here and fast, now!", His heart pounded in fear and. Heads turned as the group of wolves cornered the rest. Their identities were covered by a skull mask. Through the eye sockets, one of them had comely red eyes.
