Mia and Mark were lying in bed together. She looked to him and smiled. "Do you think we should take Grace trick or treating?" She asked.
Mark looked to her. He frowned. "You want to take our eight month old daughter trick or treating?" He asked.
Mia nodded. "Good point. I mean, she can't even eat the candy. I can though," she said.
"Is this your way of saying you want to dress her up? As what? A pumpkin."
Mia rolled her eyes. She shook her head. "No. A pink frappe," she told him.
Mark groaned and shook his head. "Baby, you're not putting my baby into a pink tutu and saying she's a frozen drink," he said.
Mia pouted and kissed him. "You're mean. You know that?" She said as she straddled him.
Mark gripped her hips. But before anything, Grace woke up. Mia groaned. "Perfect timing Gracie," she said as she got off of Mark.
Mark smirked. He slipped out of bed and kissed her. "I'll get her back to sleep. I need to go have a shower. And I'll see you at work," he told her.
Once Mark had gone, Mia walked into the kitchen. She frowned as she saw Meredith pouring their mother's ashes into a bag. Izzie looked up. "What is that?" She asked.
"Our mother."
"Happy freaking Halloween," Alex said as he looked to Meredith. Knowing he was worried about her.
Mia blinked. "Okay. Why is my mother in a bag?" She asked as she poured coffee. She looked around. "Where's Esmè?"
"Sleeping."
"Wish I could sleep."

"What are we looking at?" Cristina asked as she walked into the locker room and saw everyone looking at Meredith.
Izzie turned to her. "Meredith put her mommy in a baggie and bought her to work," she told her.
"I had to get her out the closet. She was haunting me."
Mia nodded. "And now the amazing Ellis Grey also known as my mother is haunting all of us," she joked as she looked to her.
Esmè rolled her eyes but smiled. She knew how happy Mia had been lately. And she was thankful to Mark for it.
Mia walked over to her sister and smiled. "Listen. A little tip for morning sickness. Ginger biscuits. They work an absolute treat," she told her.
Esmè smiled. "Thanks. I never thought I'd be feeling as sick as I do now," she said.
"It does ease up after a while. But you'll be okay. I know you. You're Esmè Grey."
Sydney Heron walked into the locker room. "Mia,Esmè and Meredith are cleansing. In tribal culture, when one wants to cleanse the past, one cuts off all of one's hair and buries it in the earth. You might try that too," she said.
Mia blinked. She shook her head. "She gives me the creeps," she mumbled to Alex. She turned to Esmè. "Please don't cut off your hair. I won't recognise you," she told her.
"I'm not going to cut my hair off... it's rather attached to me," Esmè said.
"I get that."
Callie walked into the room. She looked around. "Okay. Listen up," she said as she got the attention of the residents. "Today is a holiday. Which means the pit will be overrun. You've got the usual drunken stupidity-."
"And then you've got Seattle's annual chain saw pumpkin carving contest," Bailey said rather excited. "I love this city."
Callie shook her head. "Anyways, stay on your toes. Stay on top of your interns, okay?" She said.
