Citrus, Ripple, Servo and Skylar all sat around a table in the dining hall with the dog girl that had lead them in. The building was extremely large, and it seemed to have a lot of rooms. A tray of breadsticks had been served to the table, and everyone was being tended to as if they were VIPs. Servo looked to the dog girl, and did their best to be polite.
"So, can you give us an explanation of what's going on, Miss uh..."
"Please, call me Tina."
"Pleasure to meet you." Said Servo. "So, why were we called here?"
"Well.." Replied Tina. "This resort was built on top of a spring containing rare crystals. We've had thieves try to steal them in the past, but now we think someone's planning something big. There's a helicopter on the roof that doesn't belong to us, the security system keeps acting up, and our guest count is off from the number of rooms that are currently occupied."
Servo nodded.
"Oh, and the underground portion of the building is flooded."
"Yeah. What was the underground part for? It looks to be miles long."
"It's an underground water treatment plant. It's connected to this building and many others in the area. We call it the 'Pipe maze' because of how complicated it's structure is."
"Denim denim denim." Said Citrus.
"Huh?"
"Nothing.."
Tina cleared her throat.
"Anyways, it's for treating water. It's mostly clean. I think.. It doesn't belong exclusively to this building, but we were hoping someone could go down and try to find the source of the flood."
"It could be from the spring." Suggested Skylar. "It's possible that there's a lot of water trapped underground that had nowhere to go but into the pipe maze."
"Whatever the case.." Said Ripple. "We need to stop water from getting in. I'd go down there and look, but I'm assuming it's not salt water."
"What if we get Grace to bring Mira to help us?" Asked Citrus.
"Who's Mira?" Asked Tina.
"She's uh.. a friend."
"Well as long as my building is up and running again. In the mean time, you're free to search wherever you'd like. Now, as for payments?.."
"Don't worry, this is free of charge." Said Servo. "Your taxes pay for us."
"Honestly just give me some more of that bread and I'm fine." Said Citrus.
Tina chuckled.
A few minutes passed, and Grace was still looking for a place to land when her walkie-talkie beeped. She put it up to her ear.
"What?" She said.
"Hey, we might need Mira." Said Servo.
"Oh my god.. Why?.."
"Basement's flooded."
Grace sighed.
"I'll run back and get her." She said. "Might as well get Coral too, though I know she won't cooperate."
"What if she tries to escape?" Asked Servo.
"She has a shock collar. She'll be fine, she's not going anywhere."
Grace began piloting the helicopter back towards the direction of the WUA, leaving Servo and Ripple in the lobby. Tina walked up to them and smiled.
"Your friends went off to investigate." She said. "Do you need anything? A drink? More bread?"
"I'm good." Replied Servo. "Though, do you think you can show me a list everyone who's booked a room here?"
"Oh, yeah! It's in the computer! Follow me!"
Servo and Ripple followed Tina through the resort, down hallways and past closed doors.
"So, are you a robit?" Asked Tina.
"Yeah." Replied Servo.
"Okay, cool."
