Dexter tried to swing at Skylar, but she ducked. She immediately pinned him on the ground and began cuffing him.
"You've got some explaining to do." She said.
"I'm not talking." Replied Dexter.
Citrus leaned into her walkie-talkie and spoke.
"I'm assuming there's not a 'Dexter Kai' in the guest list?" She asked.
Tina typed in the guest search, and found no results.
"Nope." Replied Servo.
"Then we've found our guy. Come help us apprehend him, will you?"
"Alright."
Dexter was sat upright, and leaned against the wall.
"Tell me everything." Said Skylar.
"Well, I was born March 13th, 1989, I was.."
"You dick, I mean why are you doing this to the hotel?"
"I'm not talking!" Replied Dexter.
"I'll sit on you." Said Citrus.
"Jesus.. It's for the crystals."
Meanwhile, Ripple had made her way to the pipe maze. The underground tunnel was massive, and looked to be miles long. There was a ledge for her to stand on, but the rest of the structure was completely flooded.
"Don't be alarmed." Came Grace's voice.
Ripple turned around to see Grace pushing Mira and Coral's tank. Ripple rushed over to help.
"How'd you get down here?" Asked Ripple.
"There was an elevator." Replied Grace.
She locked the wheels and sighed.
"Could've used this help earlier. Especially the directions. If you hadn't left the doors unlocked, I wouldn't have been able to get in."
"Sorry." Replied Ripple. "So, what's the plan?"
Grace reached into her bag and pulled out a flashlight, and an oxygen tank and mask.
"Since you can't breathe in fresh water.." She said. "I brought this. It'll let you breathe for two hours. That should be long enough for you to find the source of the leak. We probably can't fix it today, but if we can at least find it, then we can alert someone who's more experienced."
Grace reached into the tank and lifted Mira out bridal style.
"Mira will be assisting since she can breathe underwater."
"I'm helping!" Said Mira.
"She's helping." Added Grace.
"Alright." Said Ripple.
She looked at the oxygen tank and sighed.
"Help me put that thing on."
While this was happening, Skylar and Citrus were waiting for Servo to come and get Dexter from his room. They were standing by the open room's door, looking out into the hallway. Skylar turned back to Dexter to question him.
"Now, wanna answer some more of our questions?" She asked.
"Not particularly." Replied Dexter.
Skylar noticed he was fidgeting with something behind his back.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
Before she could even react, Dexter was free of his handcuffs. He held up a handcuff key, and smirked.
"Oh-"
Dexter shoved Skylar out of the way, and opened his dresser drawer. He pulled out some sort of remote, and pointed it at Skylar and Citrus. Skylar sat up and snarled.
"What the hell is that?" Asked Citrus.
"Take one step closer and you'll find out." Replied Dexter.
Citrus smirked.
"You put your right foot in, you take your right foot out you put.."
Dexter pressed the button. The door to the neighboring room flung open 6 identical black protogens rushed out. Citrus immediately recognized them.
"Those are from the oil rig.." She said.
Glen pushed past Skylar and Citrus and ran down the hallway. They tried to run after him, but the bots blocked them, aiming rifles in their direction.
"If you hadn't done the Hokey Pokey.." Groaned Skylar.
"Sorry I tried to call his bluff." Replied Citrus. "What do we do now?"
One protogen stepped into the room, and aimed right at Citrus' forehead.
"I-I don't want any trouble.."
Skylar saw a pot of coffee on the counter, and reached for it.
"Can't we just settle this over a cup of coffee?" She asked.
She held the pot up, and all of the protogens slowly looked over at her. Citrus saw they were distracted, and shoved past them, running into the hallway.
"GO!"
Skylar smashed the pot of coffee into one of the bot's faces, and then followed her out. The bots shot at them, but missed.
Citrus ran up to the elevator just in time to see it close with Dexter smirking at her from inside. She looked up at the elevator sign. He was going all the way down to floor 1. She banged on the door, and tried prying it open.
"DEXTER!" She shouted.
"TAKE THE STAIRS!" Called Skylar.
Skylar ran past her towards the stairwell, still being shot at by the protogens. Citrus followed her, getting swiped in the shoulder by one of the bullets. She was still able to outrun Skylar and hold the door for her.
