author's POV

wednesday morning finally rolled over, and yena was still in bed. although, she was wide awake again, just laying there... contemplating her life decisions. that is, until she heard her best friends high pitched squeals and aggressive banging on her bedroom door. "cmon yenaaaaa, you gotta get up and pack! it's a big dayyy!"

"five more minutes.... its too cold." yena groaned upsettedly, squeezing her eyes shut as an attempt to shut out the outside world.

"shut up, it's literally summer time bitch. now get out of bed before i drag you off myself."

yena slowly sat up and pulled the warm covers off her legs, dangling them off the edge of the bed. "okay, i'm up. i'm just going to go wash my face and i'll be back. could you grab my pink suitcase out of my closet and put it on the floor for me?"

lily nodded, heading over to where yena kept her suitcase. once she was back looking much more refreshed, they both got to work packing her devices, clothes, toiletries, and other personal belongings. they both agreed that whatever they couldn't fit, yena could just come back and get another day.

"i wonder who i'll be rooming with," yena stated as she carefully packed her skin care items into her toiletries bag.

"imagine if you're rooming with nayeon. she's so hot." lily replied nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders. yena quickly slapped her friend on the shoulder with a grin.

once they had finished packing, the girls said their final goodbye before yena headed off for her new life a a kpop idol.

"bye, my love! i'll visit you so soon you won't even be able to miss me." yena said, as she gave lily a big hug, fighting off the tears pooling in her eyes.

"stop, i miss you already. now go get in the car, i'm sure your uber driver is waiting. byeeeee!!!"

lily waved her best friend off as she walked towards her ride and packed her suitcase in the back of the car.

yena's POV

i hopped out of the car after thanking my uber for the ride. grabbing my suitcase out of the trunk, i stood right in front of the company building doors. looking up at the tall building, i took a deep breath and walked inside... not quite as confidently as i was hoping to be. i headed over to the reception, where the familiar receptionist lady was yet again seated.

"oh, hello dear! it's a pleasure to see you again, yena." the lady sweetly smiled as she continued to type on her computer.

straight away, someone dressed in all black jumped up from behind the counter, wearing a facial mask and a bucket hat to conceal their face. i was quite taken aback, but as soon as they pulled down their mask, it was clear to me who it was.

han jisung.

"ji?" i said, obviously confused as to why he was hiding behind the counter like that.

the receptionist lady turned around in her swivel computer chair, with a clear unimpressed but amused expression plastered across her face. "don't mind him, dear. he's insisted on waiting here until you arrived, even though i told him you could be arriving at any time today."

"shhh, margie. i told you not to tell her that!" jisung jumped in quickly before i could say anything, "i'll be escorting you to the dorms today!"

"hi, ji."my face showed my puzzled demeanour. "aren't the dorms here?"

"nah, do you know how many fans come by this building? if the dorms were here, we'd wake up to people staring at us above our beds." he paused, letting out a small chuckle, "don't worry though. the dorms are only a few blocks away. its just a short walk."
