Iris looked at the huge bookshelf in her room, deciding which books to take for her little walk to the lake with no other man than Obi-Wan Kenobi. She liked to take her time to choose them because she was really specific in what to read, preferring gothic and mysterious novels rather than teenage romantic novels or silly adventure stories. Finally she picked three, hoping that at least Obi-Wan would like one of them. Jedi was smart but Iris didn't have the faintest idea of what he liked in books.

At last she left her room, and there waiting outside he was, leaning against the wall, admiring the extravagant decorations of the palace. Obi-Wan quickly glanced at Iris and walking towards her said:

"Well, let's get going, I've informed myself and to enjoy the walk we have to go now, because the maids say that at five it's going to rain."

Every time he spoke, every time he smiled or laughed, Iris couldn't really concentrate. How could she be able to resist this for the entirety of her stay? Well, even the strongest person couldn't cope with it, but Iris was determined, for her well-being and for her secret. But then she realized that she also had to talk, so, waking up from her trance she muttered.

"Oh, that's good to know. I-I've picked some books we could read, I mean, I'm not sure if you will like them." Iris confessed with an insecure look on her face.

"Don't you worry, Iris, I'm sure that I will like them. It was unprofessional of me not to share my likes in books, I'm sorry. In general I like all genres, maybe I'm more into philosophical novels, maybe with a mystery in between and with characters with personality, especially the villains. Personally I like to know the motives of the criminals and their background." Obi-Wan added, looking down at Iris with a smile on his face.

They walked together through the palace until they exited by one of the east-wing doors that led to a field. While Iris and Obi-Wan walked, they talked a bit about everything but nothing in particular, just some friendly conversation.

"Kira told me that passing the field we should go into the forest, and then she said that I will remember the path." Iris joked, contemplating the big green field that surrounded them and the river that ran through it..

Obi-Wan laughed, his auburn hair moved slightly with the wind and his beige robe flowed. They were walking through the green meadow contemplating the background and admiring the nature. The atmosphere was calm, it was a nice day to go for a walk and they were enjoying each other's company. Iris was forgetting her struggles and unintentionally wanted the Jedi closer to her, they were walking next to each other. Their hands were only a few centimeters apart and with the tiniest movement the hands would touch.

"I'm glad to be here with you today, if I'm being honest I'm no man for politics. I couldn't handle a conference room full of important people, so I would choose our little walk over any other thing." Obi-Wan added, looking at the landscape.

Iris laughed, he was so kind and so gentlemanly with her, and unconsciously Iris was letting her guard down. All the teachings that her father passed on to her about feelings and how to behave like a proper Sith were slowly disappearing when she was with Obi-Wan.

"Yes! I can relate to that! When my father talked about his conferences I instantly got bored. Personally I didn't attend many, but my father loved to invite his friends over and have elegant meetings, and obviously I was the only kid there." Iris said giggling, remembering her childhood memories.

"That must be excruciatingly boring for a little kid. When I was younger I used to be with my master or with other padawans so I was almost never alone. Maybe with the years I learned how to appreciate my time alone, being Anakin's master is tiring sometimes." Obi-Wan said, grinning down at Iris.
