A/N: another chapter :) I'm trying to get it as movie accurate as possible I'm sorry if it's wrong in some points!
y/n POV:
Once we start to walk with worm and M.C Jake seems uncomfortable and I can't blame him they keep commenting on our looks. I pause my cassette as Jake Asks a question "hey do you know where the children's house is? It should be around here?" He asks and they nod
"Should we take the shortcut, D?" Worm says
"We'll get there quicker. Take it from me" M.C say's and Jake makes a confused face and points down the hill "what? Down there?" Jake asks "yeah" worm says if it's nothing "is this even the way to the children's home?" Jake ask sighing "through those bushes" worm says and Jake and I walk and see it's destroyed "what... what happened to it?" I ask "the German navy bombed it. Fell right through the roof" he said and I nod "what happened to them?" Jake asks "the orphans? Oh they died along with the headmistress." They said and we both nodded "why didn't he tell us they all died? He leaves to join the army and three months later everyone he knows gets killed?" Jake asks I shrug "not even grandpa can turn that into a bedtime story" I say and we turn back to see 'work' and 'MC' are gone we sigh and start to walk back to town.
Time skip (it's night by this time)
When we get back we see dad sitting in the room "hey boys" he say's and smiles at us Jake smiles back and I just wave I grab my book out of my bag and start to read it as Jake and dad get ready for bed.
The next day
I wake up to Jake brushing his teeth "where are you going?" I ask and he wipes his mouth "I'm going back to the house you are welcome to come with if you'd like? Just don't tell dad" he say's and I nod and get up to get ready

Once I'm done getting changed I quickly brush my teeth and put my cassette player and headphone in my bag.
"Are we going?" I ask him and he nods "I like your outfit by the way" he said "thanks" I reply and we walk downstairs and see dad "hey dad we're gonna go hang out with those kids, they asked" Jake say's and dad nods and smiles "all good stay safe" he say's and we both nod and start to walk to the house.
When they get to the house
Once we get there we decide to explore the house Jake upstairs and me downstairs. As I'm exploring I see a boy staring at me I tilt my head in confusion than I hear Jake running downstairs so I run after him "what's wrong jake?" I ask while running after him we both enter this cave thing and see some kids? Jake seems to recognise them the boy that I saw before is not there I shrug and Jake starts talking "You're Emma and the twins and Olive, Bronwyn your Millard! But you're all dead..." he say's and I tilt my head in confusion "what?!" I ask his eyes widen when he realises grandpa never told me about anything "they're from grandpa's stories" he said and I nod "you called me Abe in the house, why?" He asks and the girl I now know as emma reply's "cause you look like him" she says smiling Jake nods they continue talking with me drowning it out cause I don't know who they are when Jake suddenly runs "Jake wait up!" I scream and turn to the children and say "I'm sorry about him" and run after him.
We get to the hotel and start to run up to the room when Jake gets asked "what do you think you're doing?" The owner asks and Jake makes a confused face "to my room? I'm a.. I'm a guest here" he says "does this look like a hotel?" The owner asks getting mad "yeah... NO!" Jake say's "I've got a key talk to the manager he'll tell you!" He say's and the man smirks "I'm the manager boy." And than the town folk start talking "he's American!" "Maybe he's army?" "Bollocks! Listen to his accent!" "It's terrible" "he's a bloody spy!" They all start talking all at once Jake starts to talk "what? No I'm not!" He say's eyes wide I sigh and stick by him "I say, we should get the truth out of him, the old-fashioned way" he says before the place starts to light up in flames and dishes start flying everywhere "come on!" We hear and look over and see olive we both run after her and jump into the carriage with them.
"I can't believe you're all real!" Jake says while I'm looking at all of them studying them 'they all dress up in old clothes. The owner didn't notice us.' I get cut out of thoughts when we arrive at the house "come on miss peregrine is waiting!" Emma say's and we all follow her to the front door.
