YP4 Final Taping

There were a lot of hustle bustle since this morning as it started to pour cats and dogs. Staff and crew were moving around to rearrange the itinerary. The other crew members were chatting in small groups and no one noticed Shen Yue and Zheyuan standing side by side, watching the rain water laced the windows.

"Our last taping, huh?" Zheyuan finally spoke.

Yue nodded.

"Are you going to miss the program?" he asked again, checking her expression. This time, he noticed the glint in her eyes as she turned and smiled "Definitely. Won't you? You will miss Xiao Ba."

Zheyuan sighed. "And I can't be there tomorrow. I heard there will be fireworks." He shrugged his shoulders, and tugged on his jacket. Chen Xiao Xi remained unperturbed. "It's the real fireworks this time, not the one in Mr Bad." he continued.

Yue was exceptionally quiet.

Earlier, she had refused food from everyone but finally took it from him. He knew she hadn't been eating well. Had he not been firm with it, she would have gone whole day empty stomach again.

"We can always imagine watching the fireworks together," she smiled.

"Will you miss me?" he side-eyed her as her face blushed.

"I'm not going to answer that!"

He turned his face upwards and laughed heartily. "WeChat me, okay? Tell me all that you feel on WeChat." She nodded.

Only he understood her. She expressed herself best in written words, especially when overwhelming emotions caught up and she could not process everything. Zheyuan is quiet like her too, but he always speaks his mind. He might not be as eloquent on screen, but his words are on point and he was always ready to listen to her and give her feedback.

They were standing so close, that she could feel her arm just next to him, urging to hold it and leaned her head on it.

Zheyuan of course sensed it, stepping to her back, letting her stand in front facing the window, so she could slightly lean on him. She did not of course, but feeling his presence is more than enough.

"Alright you two! We must get going now!" They groaned and rolled their eyes. Yang Di had the knack of breaking up their little 'parties' every now and then.

"The last taping, huh? How do you feel Zheyuan? Miss me?" Yang Di smirked at the 6-footer next to hm. He had grown even fonder of this boy in the past 2.5 months. They bickered all the time, but he was proud of Zheyuan for stepping out of his comfort zone this time, compared to Detective Adventures last year.

Zheyuan put his arm around Dge. "Of course! But never say goodbye. We will meet again."

"Yue Yue, how do you feel? Do you miss me? Or him?" Both saw how her face flushed as she stumbled her words "I will miss everyone!"

Yang Di laughed and nudged them close, whispering. "Don't be too obvious. You make trouble for the editing team."

Zheyuan and Yue jumped back and both said simultaneously "What do you mean?"

Yang Di eyed them before turning away "I wasn't born yesterday."

Yue looked up at Yuan and both sighed. "We can't escape from Dge."

Zheyuan smiled and winked. "Then let's not. Let's be ourselves." Yue nodded.

Come what may, they would both cherish this time together. It was one of the best experiences she ever had. Yue stole a glance at Zheyuan. What did I do to deserve him? I am so blessed.

"Zhou Siyue".

He smiled, playing her game "Chen Xiao Xi, yes?"

She cupped her mouth and whispered "Wo xi huan ni."

That boyish warm grin was more than enough to comfort her.

I wrote this after the last taping in June 2023. I published this on my IG and finally moved it here. This was the last piece I wrote of yueyuan. I wouldn't know when I will write again as real life is very busy. Someday or one day.....😍 I am excited to meet them in YP5 soon!
