Daryl Dixon Series:
Season 2, Episode 12

Michelle was sitting at the metal table going through some files on the laptop when she glanced over at the clock on the wall.

''Weird.'' Michelle whispered. ''They should've been back by now.''

Daryl & Ben left at around 7am and Michelle knew that they should've been back by now, unless they both had to stay hidden somewhere for the meantime waiting for Walkers to go away or something. What also made her nervous was the fact that Daryl & Ben weren't on their way back to the bunker because Daryl would have contacted her via walkie talkie.

Michelle didn't want to jump to the worst conclusion by thinking Daryl & Ben were overwhelmed by Walkers or taken hostage by new strangers in Paris. But with the way the world is, jumping to the worst conclusion is usually the best bet to what has already happened.

''Dammit.'' Michelle got up from her seat and went to her bedroom to get geared up.

After Michelle was ready to go, she put her hooded coat on and grabbed her mask as Rain & Dog walked up to her.

''Don't worry, guys.'' Michelle said as she crouched down in front of them. ''I'm gonna find Daryl & Ben and bring them back, alright?''

Michelle smiled sadly at them and stood up straight slowly so she wouldn't hurt herself because the wound on her waist wasn't fully healed yet.

''You two keep each other safe while I'm gone.'' Michelle kissed Dog and Rain's heads. ''Love you both.''

Michelle walked over to the double doors and pressed the button. She glanced over at them and she smiled before walking out and the doors closed behind her as she placed her mask on.

Michelle went outside into the local park and she closed the hidden door before taking out one of her knives getting ready for anything. She made her way across the street and went down to the corner before peeking around it to look for any Walkers or Runners. The coast seemed clear, but Michelle knew that was like walking into a false sense of security. After a few moments of nothing in sight, she walked around the corner and she headed towards the river. Michelle could've traveled safer via the sewers, but she needed to stay above ground if she ever wanted to find Daryl & Ben or any clues as to where they might be.

Michelle walked down a few streets and took out a couple of Walkers before she needed to stop to take a few breathes because her waist was hurting badly right now. Luckily, none of the stitches had torn so far. But Michelle needed a better way to get around and on foot wasn't working as fast as she needed to go. Michelle made her way down a few more streets before she spotted a bicycle laying on the grass by a tree. Michelle walked over, lifted it up and saw that it wasn't in bad shape. The tyres weren't 100% full, but they could work.

Michelle got on the bicycle and went straight to the river. When Michelle arrived at the river, she stopped and got off the bicycle when she saw all the Walkers and Runners laying on the ground. Michelle knew Daryl and Ben were in a fight as she walked amongst the carnage, but she didn't see Daryl or Ben there. Michelle was about to call out to them, but then she saw Ben's vest on the ground and Daryl's crossbow & weapons on the ground as well before she rushed over to it all.

''No.'' Michelle whispered as she crouched down by the things she found.

Michelle stood up and stepped over to the edge and looked around by the broken debris of the boat that Daryl wanted to find clues on and didn't see anyone.

''Who could've....'' Michelle paused realising that there was only one group of people who would've taken them. Keith's men. ''Asshole.''

Michelle picked up Daryl's weapons and she placed them in her messenger bag along with Ben's vest. Then she placed Daryl's crossbow on her back before walking back to the bicycle. But when Michelle checked the tyre pressure before getting on, the back tyre was now flat. Michelle sighed, but she knew the bicycle wouldn't last long. Who knew how long it had been laying there anyway. At least it got her this far.
