"Family Of Negan"

Daryl Dixon Series: Episode 4

Michelle saw Daryl's demeanor change after she said Negan's name. It confused her for a moment, but it clicked that Daryl either knew Negan or the two men weren't exactly friends because of a bad or terrible time.

''You know my brother, don't you?'' Michelle asked and Daryl just stared at her.

''You do. And judging by that look, you never wanted to ever know him.'' Michelle said, but before Daryl could say anything, Dog started moving.

Daryl & Michelle instantly stood up and stood on either side of Dog as he slowly woke up.

''Dog?'' Daryl said as Dog opened his eyes and slowly glanced around for a moment before lifting up his head slowly. ''Take ya time, boy.''

Dog moved so he was laying on his stomach and looked around as his vision became clear.

''Dog? It's me, boy.'' Daryl said as he placed his hands on Dog's neck. Then Dog's tail started wagging as he recoginzed Daryl.

''Hey, boy!'' Daryl said chuckling as Dog started licking his face while Michelle smiled at them. ''I'm so happy you're alright.''

Michelle walked around the bed and gestured with her head to Ben & Rain to follow her out the room. They followed her and she closed the door to give Daryl & Dog a moment alone.

''Come on, guys.'' Michelle said and they all went to the main room as Daryl couldn't stop smiling at Dog as he wagged his tail as Daryl.

''Left ya at home to take care of Judith & RJ. Why did ya follow me, boy?'' Daryl asked and all Dog did was lick his face again. ''Alright, alright. Love ya too.''

Daryl looked around the room for a water bowl for Dog, but didn't see one.

''Gotta go get ya some water, boy. Stay.'' Daryl said and Dog listened like he always did when Daryl spoke.

Daryl left the room and closed the door so Dog wouldn't follow him. Daryl went to the main room where he almost bumped into Michelle coming around the corner.

''Oh, sorry.'' They said in unison and smiled at each other.

''Uh, I was just bringing Dog some food and water. He'll be starving after being asleep for so long.'' Michelle said before she handed two bowls over to Daryl.

''Thanks.'' Daryl said and Michelle nodded.

''Not a problem.'' Michelle smiled a bit before taking a few steps back. ''Glad Dog's awake and doing ok.''

Daryl nodded and Michelle turned around. They walked off in different directions as they both felt this new awkwardness between them ever since Negan's name was brought up and they had no idea how to address the situation. At least not right now anyway.

A Few Hours Later.
Michelle was sitting by the long metal table going through her notes of everything she has seen Runners do and adding the fact that they climb and jump off cars now.

''They're getting smarter. Knowing how to used their environment to their advantage.'' Michelle whispered to herself before she sighed.

Michelle ran her fingers through her hair before she glanced over at Ben & Rain who were asleep on Ben's dog bed and covered with a blanket. She smiled at them and then rested her forearms on the table. Then Michelle started thinking about her brother Negan. What did Negan do to make Daryl so uncomfortable? Had Negan become a bad man after the world fell apart? Did the apocalypse turn her brother into someone she wouldn't even recognize today? If so, then that would explain why there's this new awkwardness between herself and Daryl right now.
