It wast time, time for me and my sister to get our names. I was actually excited too, I wanted to now my name and my sister's name too.
Jayfur and Spottedtail were grooming us, to get us all pretty for the ceremony.
" You two are just gorges, especially you, I've never seen a cat like you." Spottedtail said to me, while licking my head to comb down my fur.
"She's a Siamese kitten, Spottedtail, she is a breed of cat that is rare."
"Oh really, well than arn't we lucky to have you." Spottedtail purred, tickling me.
As they finished grooming us, we heard Ivystar coming and then walked in the nursery.
"It's time you two." She said, then walked out into an opening and motioned us to sit right below this very high rock, that she jumped up on. She let out a loud meow and a bunch of cat started to surround us and the rock.
She began "I called all you her, this beautiful morning to name these two kits, but first we will welcome them. While on patrol me, Firefoot, and Redfur, came across these two under a tree stump. They were both left there after there mother was chased off by a dog."
Soft mummers came from the crowd and some even started to hiss at the thought of a dog.
"It's probably Diablo." One cat said.
"There mom probably didn't survive, no one survives Diablo." Another cat whispered.
I became very uncomfortable, and looked up at Ivystar hoping she would continue, and as if she could read my thoughts she started to talk again.
"Yes, it is a bad thought, but we will now welcome these two into our clan, for no cat is left behind."
She spoke like she was speaking to family. It reminded me of my mom, she always was my leader, my inspiration.
"Well it is now time to name these two kits. You two, will you please step forward." She then motioned to me and said. "This kit showed wildness and was determined to protect her sister. She will now be known as Wildkit."
The crowd then chanted. "Wildkit! Wildkit! Wildkit!"
"Now, she is curious and bright, and she will now be known as Goldenkit." Ivystar said motioning to my sister.
"Goldenkit! Goldenkit! Goldenkit!" The crowd began again.
"Now we will welcome these two with open paws!" Ivystar, jumping down from the rock and coming over to us. "May StarClan be with your mother." She whispered in our ears.
"Thank you, but who is StarClan?" I questioned, her.
"I'll tell you guys all later, ok?" She said, walking away.
"Ok..." I whispered.
Me and Goldenkit now sat there as some of the other cats went back to whatever they were doing and some of the cats were welcoming us and asking how we hid from the patrols for three days.
After a little while, Ivystar came over and told us to go to the nursery. We headed to the nursery and cuddled up to Spottedtail and Jayfiur and fell into a deep sleep.
