"Ravenkit, you're about to be an apprentice, you need to start acting like it. You need to start taking the responsibility of protecting your clan mates."
"I know Ivystar, I'm just having fun though."
"Well fun time is over, it's time to get serious and start acting like you're ready to become a warrior. I see a lot in you, and your gonna be great one day. Now go back to the nursery and get some rest, the ceremony is tomorrow.'
"Yes Ivystar."
I waited for Ravenkit to meet me by the nursery so we could go get something to eat together like we always do, but today would be the last day since he is becoming an apprentice. Since I came into the clan Ravenkit has been the nicest cat I've met, we've became the greatest of friends and we will always be. Even though he's hurt me a few time like the one yesterday, we always make up and stay friends. I saw him walking my way and I was so excited that I pranced over to him.
"Ravenkit! Ravenkit! Hey, I've been waiting for you all day! Wanna go get something to eat then play some more?" I squealed with delight.
"Not right now Wildkit, I'm not feeling it right now." He had the look of disappointment on his face.
"What do you mean? We always eat together." I was starting to get upset, why didn't he want to do the things we've always done? Aren't we still friends?
"I said no Wildkit, now leave me alone!"
I stumbled back afraid. It surprised me that he yelled, he never yelled at me before. What was with him? He had the angry look that wasn't him at all.
"Wildkit, sorry, im becoming an apprentice now, and I need to start acting like it."
"But....I......" I took a heavy sigh, knowing there was no use in arguing "I understand, sorry for bothering you." I walked away with my tail dragging on the ground. I couldn't think of not being able to play with Ravenkit again. I know I'll still see him, but will he ever play with me again or will he forget about me forever?
Maybe when I become an apprentice I'll get to play with him again! Yeah! That's it! When I become an apprentice, it'll be just like when we were kits, playing around, and having fun.
