"I'm an asshole sometimes... Most of the time... All the time but I think you must have bumped your head trying to get out of bed this morning if you think you get to punish me," Y/n growled as he walked behind Alaric as the Headmaster walked through the Library.
"This makes no sense," Y/n's head snapped towards the voice as Lizzie, Josie and Hope walked over to them. "Why are we being punished, Dad?" Lizzie asked her father as she walked next to Y/n.
"Because you started a brawl at a charity football game that risked revealing what we really do here," Alaric finally answered someone who wasn't Y/n which caused the Nogitsune to growl, his fox still very active around Alaric after he little stunt.
"You weren't mad last night,"
"Oh, I was mad last night," He replied as the five of them walked down some stairs. "My undying love for my daughters just trumped my rage," He spoke condescendingly. "I volunteered everyone in the game, so stop complaining," Y/n leaned against the railing as he stood on the stairs, watching Lizzie walk around the top floor until she was in front of her father while Josie and Hope followed Alaric to the table. "You're lucky it's just community service and not actual jail time," Alaric pointed out with a smirk as he crossed his arms.
"Can I at least offer a rebuttal in my defence? If it pleases the court," Lizzie pleaded with her father, watching as he showed her to continue. "First of all, I was provoked, my response was totally proportional considering the level of abuse that I was forced to endure," The blond began her defence which earned a laugh from Hope but Y/n was quick to learn that his presence was hard to miss because the moment his ice-cold glare landed on the Tribrid her eyes shifted to him and her laugh stopped. "Secondly... If anyone's to take the blame, it's Josie,"
"What?"
"Sorry, I cracked under the cross but if you would have just left Kaleb to catch the ball..."
"You still would have been in trouble," Alaric cut his daughter off.
"But nice job throwing your sister under the bus," Hope muttered.
"You would have punished your daughters for being better than some pathetic humans?" Y/n had finally heard enough.
"Y/n, stay out of this..." Alaric glared at the Nogitsune but his anger was met and easily overpowered by Y/n.
"I would love to stay out of this... Hell, I wanted to stay out of finding Mikaelson's pathetic boyfriend and yet you pulled me into that, I want to stay out of this but you claim that I should also be punished so I'll stay out of things when your demented ass leaves me out of things," Y/n growled as he walked down the stairs.
"Y/n," Lizzie called out to the fox, all four noticing the green shining in his eyes as his skin was balancing between being a healthy shade and an unhealthy pale colour.
"Y/n... You know you deserve this as much as they do..."
"Why? Because your pathetic Binding Seals couldn't hold me?" Y/n almost laughed as he uncrossed his arms, head tilting to the side.
