Y/n woke up in the heart of the forest, surrounded by towering trees and a carpet of fallen leaves. The air hung heavy with an unsettling stillness. His head throbbed with a persistent ache, and as he attempted to collect his thoughts, a profound sense of confusion washed over him.
The Nogitsune slowly pushed himself off the damp ground, his senses trying to catch up with his surroundings. Everything felt off as if he had just stepped into a world where the rules were slightly skewed. His gaze, vivid green like the depths of a forest, scanned the unfamiliar landscape. It wasn't the first time he had woken up in strange places, but the disorientation felt more profound this time.
Y/n's hand instinctively reached for his necklace, feeling the cool metal and the weight of the fox heads against his chest. The mischievous grin on his lips hinted at something being off, a side that relished in the unknown and thrived in the chaos of uncertainty.
Y/n made his way into the doors of the school and noticed how the halls were empty, realizing that he seemed to be later than he had originally thought but he didn't really seem to care as he made his way through the building.
"Y/n!" A familiar voice called out to the Nogitsune and he smirked as he turned to face the Tribrid, the Tribrid came to a standstill as she looked at Y/n, the air around him seemed multiple degrees lower than the entire school, there was a menacing aura around the 'happy' fox. "Where have you been?" She tried to act unaffected but the predatorial smile on Y/n's face was proof that she wasn't doing a good job at hiding it.
"Shh," Y/n raised a finger to his lips as he hushed the girl.
Hope didn't seem to find the humour in his actions as she crossed her arms. "Who do you think you're talking to..."
"Hope..." Y/n cut her off as he stepped closer to her, his cold aura covering her and she felt goosebumps travel across her skin but she wasn't sure if it was the sudden drop in temperature or from the sudden closeness. "You..." He smiled as his tongue trailed across his lower lip and he reached up, gently grabbing her chin as he brought her face closer to his, listening to her breath get caught in her throat. "You're making a noise," He muttered as their lips were inches apart. "Quiet down," He smirked before pulling away from her and walking off.
Y/n didn't say anything else or look back at the Tribrid and instead made his way through the school, each step carrying an air of uncertainty to anyone unlucky enough to be around him as the pale-skinned man strolled through the halls with thick black bags under his eyes and his lips had a hint of blue in them, he looked like he was frozen but his behaviour seemed unaffected by his appearance if anything, he looked more alert and energetic.
"Y/n!" Another voice called out to the Nogitsune as Alaric caught up with Y/n. "Where have you been?"
"As far away from you as possible," Y/n smirked as he looked at the headmaster. "So, I would like to keep it that way," he turned on his heels and began walking off once more.
