Y/n walked up the hill, not focusing on where he was walking as his wild and messy h/c strands blew in the wind while his attention was on the chain around his neck, a chain with four fox head amulets hanging from it, each head silver with different colour eyes that stared back at Y/n.
Y/n was only vaguely aware of the buildings that he passed as he focused more on his thoughts and followed his instincts, However, he was pulled out of his thoughts by voices as he found himself walking onto school grounds, quickly recognising it as the place his parents spoke about.
"Damn it," A familiar voice reached Y/n's ears as he got closer to the main building. "Y/n!" He looked up to meet the only familiar face in the whole place, Alaric Saltzman. "What are you doing here?" Alaric asked as he shifted his gaze from the two other people before settling on Y/n.
"Well... You see... I was in the area and thought I'd drop by and say hi," Y/n shrugged as he readjusted the rucksack on his shoulder, already feeling uncomfortable just being here.
"What did you do this time?" Alaric crossed his arms as he looked at the young adult.
"What do you mean, what did I do?"
"You're always causing nonsense some way or another, what was it this time?"
"Name me one time, ONE TIME where I have caused trouble of any kind..." Y/n glared at the older man who in return just arched an eyebrow as all the thoughts were practically visible as they flashed through his mind. "Or don't..." Y/n shrugged as he shook his head, his challenging expression slipping.

"Where's your parents?" Alaric asked and almost immediately regretted it when he watched the young Nogitsune's expression slip. "No... Hope, take Landon to my office real quick," He looked over at the brunette girl, her eyes shifting between Alaric and the newcomer before nodding and leading the boy inside. "Y/n?" Alaric arched an eyebrow as he walked closer to the Nogitsune.
"Hunters..." Y/n muttered, his gaze shifting towards the ground as he spoke. "A large group of Hunters figured out what we were and they snuck into our camp and..." Y/n paused as he took a deep breath. "My parents told me where to find this place... They must have wanted me to warn you that something was up," Y/n knew that wasn't what they meant but he wasn't planning on staying here.
