"Look who it is," Y/n spun on his heels as Penelope walked up to him, arms crossed and a smirk on her face as she greeted the Nogitsune.
"Sorry... Do I know you?" Y/n smiled as he looked at the witch.
"Yeah, I'm that super hot witch you always hear about," She playfully flipped her hair as the taller man chuckled. "It's a bit of a shock to see you back," She spoke as they started walking past some students.
"Trust me, it feels strange to be back," Y/n chuckled as he took a seat, the witch sliding in next to him. "I don't think I've gotten a moment of rest since that night," He shook his head at the thought.
"Come to think of it, I haven't seen you since that incident," Penelope shrugged as they watched Alaric talking to Emma and Dorian.
"So, you've been looking for me?" Y/n chuckled as he raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, please... You make it hard not to notice you," She fired back as she motioned to the students around them, all stealing glances at the Nogitsune. "So it's kinda weird when you don't show up," She added.
"Yeah, it's a habit," Y/n chuckled as he heard Alaric cough to get everyone's attention.
"Yesterday, I came into possession of another Malivore Artifact," Alaric began as he looked at the students. "It was my hope to find a method to contain it before it signalled another monster," He added and Y/n felt a Migrane forming and a pain shooting through his side. "But due to the emergency meeting I just called, I'm sure you can all guess how that went..."
Y/n wanted to get up and head back to his room for rest but he wasn't in the mood to deal with even more lectures today, his body was still weak from the stab wound he magically got... He still wasn't even sure how anyone managed to stab him, to begin with...
"Yo, do you see Hope anywhere?" Y/n's gaze shifted to Landon who sat a few chairs away from him as the boy and Rafael looked around the room.
"Wait..." Y/n's attention was then drawn to Penelope, also staring at this. "Isn't he that human that left here twice?" The witch practically spat as she looked at the two of them.
"Hope went to 'save' him and Alaric had him and me go with,"
"I thought that girl had standards... Never mind," Penelope scoffed with a smirk as she shook her head, earning a chuckle from the Nogitsune.
"Rest assured, we are taking every precaution, Sheriff Donovan has been kind enough to open the doors to the Lockwood Mansion to us," Alaric caught the pair's attention once again. "So Mister Williams and Miss Tig are now in the process of evacuating our students from the lower grades," He added.
"Why don't we just evacuate the damn artefact?" Kaleb asked as he looked at the Headmaster like he was an idiot.
"Because we are a lot more well equipt than the world at large to handle monsters," Alaric explained and Y/n had to agree. "Now, once we know what we are dealing with and the problem is contained, then we can reassess what to do with the artefact... If any of you would like to evacuate, please talk to Dorian or Emma," Alaric added as he looked at the students with concern in his eyes. "However, exam week will continue as scheduled, wherever you are," That was met with mutters and whispers from the students. "I know, I'm sorry but I can't exactly call the state of accreditation board and tell them that we are cancelling exams because of monsters,"
