APPEARANCE ─

All Star Catchers have dark, almost black scales and glowing patterns. They look pretty unsuspecting during the day time, where their scales are all dark, but at night, their scales light up. They are a beautiful sight to see and you can often see them crisscrossing the skies, like comets. Along with patterns, their horns and eyes can also glow. Every dragon has a uniquely different pattern and the brightness of the glow can be used to determine how old they are. The older a dragon gets, the brighter they can glow.

ABILITIES ─

They have abilities that deal with light and darkness. For example, they can, momentarily cause themselves to glow extremely brightly, hopefully disorienting their opponent. They can also breathe out a dark cloud, shrouding their enemies in darkness. They can see in the dark but also have a very good internal compass and can read their altitude very well without being able to see very much. They are built more so for defense than combat and are less strong than other dragon species.

TEMPERMENT ─

Being less skilled at fighting, they have a naturally evasive and avoidant nature, making them a pretty difficult dragon to train, even for simply riding. They can also be rather stubborn and skittish and don't take well to being told what to do. They don't like fighting and because of this, they usually gravitate towards the riders who seem the least likely to make them fight. This can mean a more passive, chill rider, who is less likely to throw them into combat, or just a particularly weak-looking or cowardly rider that is more likely to give up or die before even getting to combat. This is why the Academy always seems to have a stock of them ready even though they don't attempt to train that many, because many of them are from previous years that have some how avoided ever actually having their rider graduate.
