*A/N hi this is the first chapter of the book i will try to update often as i can. Hope u enjoy and if there is any spelling or grammar mistakes very sorry i cant do either lol anyway GET READINGGG..*
I woke up spluttering and gagging on water.where was i? I looked around, flashing lights streaking past the metal cage I was in. My heart pounded on my chest making it ache.
The rushing sound grew louder and i covered my ears hoping it would block the metal on metal shrieking. It began to speed up as i held onto the bottom for dear life. I looked down into the black obis hoping i could see anything. Nothing.
I looked up and saw the end of the passage but it wasn't slowing down. I was going to crash into it. I screamed and rushed into the corner to hold on to something, anything.
It stopped. I looked around and buried my head into my legs hoping that would shield me from what ever was going to happen next.
The metal doors overhead opened and light filled the cage blinding me. Slowly, i looked up. About 30 boys looked down on me muttering and looking at each other. My eyes rested on a blond haired boy, he had chestnut brown eyes and a smirk on his face.

I lowered my head as he jumped into the box with me. He brushed the hair out of my face making me blush. "Its.. a girl" he said making me look up into his eyes, this time making him blush.
Everyone started to shout and they beckoned other people over. He held out a hand for me which i slowly grasped. It was warm and soft compared to my scratched cold hand. He lifted me up with ease.
I scrambled out of the box with the help of some boys. One of them who was apparently called alby was the leader of everyone. They called themselves the gladers.
"Ok do u know what ur name is?" I looked down at my hands trying to think there was nothing. I shrugged my shoulders. "Thats normal it should cone back in a day or two, first let me give u a tour if the glade."
I followed him out into the day light and started to walk with him. "This over here is the homestead. Its where we hold the meetings round here. Over there is the med-hut. Oh and the look out tower is there..." he went on for a while making sure he had covered everything.
The blond boy cane over to us smiling. "Hi there the names newt," he held out his hand for me to shake. He had a British accent which i wasn't expecting but it made me giggle. "He is second in command and takes over when im not here," alby said glancing at him. "Good thing ur always here then," he chuckled.
They had a good long chat discussing everything. I glanced over at the walls surrounding us. "Where actually are we?" I said. They both shrugged not making eye contact like they were hiding something. I raised an eyebrow and walked away.
