Part 6

Rei forgot about everyone around them, and only cared about Liz.

"So, is this a date?" Rei smiled.

"I know," Liz reassured her.

"I'm sorry about everything that happened before. I feel so horrible!"

"Rei, I love you, okay?" Liz laughed. "I don't care about high school anymore, that's in the past."

The fireworks display finally stopped.

"How are we going to tell the other girls?" Rei asked.

"I'm sure they'll be fine. Just don't tell anyone else." Liz suggested.

"Alright!" Rei giggled.

*At starship*

"Gaeul? Oh hi!" Liz waved.

"It's so late, I think the other girls have gone but I'm just packing up now."

"That's fine, but me and Rei need to tell you something." Liz looked down.

"Oh I know don't worry." Gaeul laughed it off.

"Know what?"

"Don't worry, the staff told me about it. They could see it from the window while they were watching the fireworks!" Gaeul picked up her bag.

"Really?" Liz had a look of annoyance on her face. "Now I can't be an idol, can I?"

"Don't be so dramatic, they're not going to tell anyone about you and Rei." Gaeul put a hand on Liz's shoulder.

Rei wasn't convinced.

"I have to go, see you tomorrow," Gaeul said.

"Bye." Rei sighed. "Now what?"

"Well, nothing is going to break us apart, Rei," Liz said while she was very exhausted.

"Liz, get some rest." Rei put a hand on her back. "Please."

"I will, I'm excited to see you tomorrow." Liz's eyes sparkled again.

*The next day*

"Hey, Liz?" Rei dashed in.

"I missed you," Liz couldn't help but smile in response.

Rei grinned from ear to ear, more excited than words could explain to see her.

"Good morning!" The other girls sat Rei down.

"Oh, good morning!" Rei felt embarrassed as she had only focused on Liz.

Gaeul had told them about everything that had happened.

"Gaeul!" Liz groaned.

"What? The staff were going to tell them anyway!"

"That's so great! I mean, at least you two aren't fighting constantly anymore.." Leeseo mentioned.

"Shh, Leeseo.." Yujin teased.

Everyone stared at Wonyoung as a notification dinged on her phone.

By her disappointed look, the other girls knew it wasn't good.

They thought so, anyway.

"Jang Wonyoung, please tell Naoi Rei and Kim Jiwon to come here right now!" 

"Oh okay! I will get them ASAP!"

"Well.." Wonyoung sighed. "Liz and Rei, the CEO wants to talk to you two." She said, leading them upstairs.

"Okay.." Rei followed her. "Come on Liz."

"This better not be bad." Liz started to tear up. She didn't want Starship to reject her as an idol. She wanted to debut with the other girls.

"I can't go." Liz covered her face.

"Liz look at me, it's ok. I'm here, I'm sure it won't be bad." Rei comforted her.

"Liz it's okay!" Wonyoung added.

Liz soon followed Rei and Wonyoung to the CEO.

"Please sit down."  He said, saving a chair for them.

Liz tried to hide her tears.

"I would like to say that.."

Rei held her breath.

"You two are one of the most talented people here and you will be debuting with the other girls in our new group!"

"Thank you so much!"

"See!" Wonyoung nodded.

"Thank you for your time! You can go back now."

"I feel so weak now, that scared me.." Everything started to spin for Liz but she ignored it.

"What do you mean by that?" Rei rushed to get her some water. "Here, drink this."

"I'm fine.."

"No, Liz! This is the second time you felt faint." Rei sat down next to her. "I love you so much but sometimes you overwork yourself and you need a break."

"I'm sorry.." Liz apologised.

"Don't apologise, It's okay! Now let's get to the other girls."

"So? What happened?" Yujin asked.

"Well- I suppose you already got the news that the 4 of you are going to debut.."

"What? Debut!?"

"Yeah! Me and Liz are going to debut as well!"

"The CEO never told me about that, but I guess I was going to anyway!" Yujin chuckled. "It's nothing to worry about - I'm just extremely happy that I'll debut with the rest of you."

"Oh, what's this?" Gaeul picked up an old-looking picture and wiped the dust off it.

The other members gathered around.

"Haha, no way.."

"What is it?" Wonyoung said eagerly trying to observe it.

"It's an old picture of me and Liz at high school!"

Rei rolled her eyes. "Don't remind me of that.."

"Rei is right," Liz said, pushing the picture down. "Let's not talk about that.."

"But look -" Gaeul pointed out. "Why are Leeseo, Wonyoung and Yujin here?"

"I don't remember this?" Wonyoung felt confused.

"Me too!" Yujin agreed. ".. Leeseo?"

She didn't speak.

"That's weird," Leeseo said. "Hm.."
