I make my way back to my dorm and throw down my stuff. I have no idea how to get the wand. Me and Mattheo's life's are riding on this mission. I climb into bed and lay on my back, staring at the ceiling rubbing my eyes. i stared at the ceiling, thinking about different ways to get the wand and where it could possibly be hidden.

i eventually gave up and decided to go walk around the halls. i quickly slip my shoes on and make my way out the dorms, still in my uniform. everyone was either in bed or on their way to their dorms, so the school was pretty empty. i walked through the courtyard, into the hall and was on my way to the astronomy tower when i heard people whispering in the corridor over.

I quickly rerouted to ease drop...with everything going on in my life right now I need some good drama that isn't my own.. i was approaching the small nook in the wall where i heard two people whispering when I recognized one of the voices as Professor Snape's. He was whispering really aggressively at the other person about timing, and warning them about how everything was about to fall into place...so much for drama that doesn't involve me...

I slowly peaked around the corner and saw the edge of a certain robe, Dumbledore's robe. "Don't you think i know what is coming our way? i can feel it, and she'll start to feel it to. and when she does we need to be prepared for.." "I KNOW WHAT WE NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR" snape yelled cutting Dumbledore off. "WE WILL LOSE SO MANY, AND WE WILL HAVE TO WATCH THEM SUFFER...I-I'll have to watch her suffer.."

watch who suffer? who is the girl their talking about?...i thought while trying to stay as quiet as possible, "snape, just promise me that you'll try your best to save them. keep him from falling into the false sense of safety, and keep her from complete destruction. Use the wand if you must.." Dumbledore pleaded.

"you know I-" "The cabinet in my study, say the forbidden curse backwards. i put all my trust in you. we only have early this morning" Dumbledore explains cutting snape off before walking away towards the astronomy tower. I heard a sigh leave snapes lips as he stormed off towards Dumbledore's office. I quickly and as quietly ran back to my dorm, hoping mattheo would be in there.

I was turning the final corner in the hallways before reaching the dorms when i saw mattheo slowly walking in front of me, "THEO!" i whisper yelled, causing him to turn and face me. "hey cutie, what's-" "not now! i have info!!" i said while dragging him by the wrist to our dorm. i flung us inside before slamming the door and placing a silencing spell on the door. I turned and saw mattheo open his mouth to say something. i quickly put my finger over his mouth, "dont talk, listen." i said making him close his mouth.

i quickly recapped everything that had just happened in the hallway to Mattheo, once i was done he was staring at the floor in front of me deep in thought. "so what do you say we do?" i ask while shifting my weight to my back foot. "we go get the wand." he says while looking up at me through his brows, smirking slightly at me.

we devised a plan while on the way to Dumbledore's office that mattheo would go in and get the wand while i stayed back and placed a spell on him to make him invisible in case snape or Dumbledore was in there. once we reached the office we found the door slightly ajar, i put the spell on mattheo and watched as he slowly became invisible right in front of me. i watched as the door opened slightly and slowly closed, seemingly on its own, signaling that he was in. after 20 minutes i started getting really anxious that something went wrong...it shouldn't be taking this long...

soon enough the door slowly opened and slowly closed, "theo?" i whispered quietly before a hand was slammed over my mouth, i felt him slowly backing us into a wall, "make yourself invisible, quick" he instructed quietly. i waved my hand and a small glowing light emitted from it as i watched myself go invisible. even though we both couldn't be seen mattheo kept me pressed against the wall with his hands over my mouth. i couldn't see where he was looking or even what he was doing but i knew he was listening for something.

and just as i was about to slap his hand away from my mouth the office door opened and Snape stepped out, he glanced around quickly before speeding down the hallway, passing right by us. mattheo and i stayed against the wall until we couldn't hear snape anymore, and even waited a few more minutes just in case. i soon felt his hand leave my mouth and move to my arm, "can u keep us invisible just a little longer?" he asked while taking a step back from me. "doubting my abilities riddle?" i ask sassily, i could almost hear his eyes roll as we linked hands and made our way back to our dorm. we soon got back, closed, locked and silenced the door before i dropped the spell. i watched as we slowly became visible again

i looked at mattheo expecting to see the wand in his hand, but to my surprise it wasn't there, "where's the wand?" i ask while taking off my shoes. when i didn't get a response i looked up to see him quietly giggling while smirking slightly, "what the fuck did you do?" i ask confused. 'i had to improvise.." he said while reaching into the waist band of his pants and pulling out the wand. "you could see it if i just held it so i had to make sure it wasn't visible"

i laughed at his stupidity before moving to the bed and sitting down. "i hope this is the right wand, it doesn't feel all that powerful..." mattheo says while sitting across from me. i reached out a hand to grab the wand and as soon as my skin made contact with the wand i felt this burning sensation where my hand wrapped around its wooden exterior.

I got a vision of a phoenix rising from a lake, all the water around it vaporizing because the high temperatures its fiery flesh produced, rising in a puff of steam into the night sky where it produced a light that changed its soft red feathers into hard black leathery skin before i was pulled back into reality by the burning sensation in my hand becoming too much.

when i came back to the real world i immediately pulled my hand away from the wand, wincing in pain as my head spun. "what was that?" mattheo asks looking at me concerned. "immmm not sure.." i say while looking down at my hand. i traced my fingers across my palm where i thought a saw a design being imprinted before deciding i was seeing things. "i got a vision of a phoenix rising from a lake, but then it turned.. all leathery and black, almost evil looking.." i explain while looking at the wand.

"hmm, i have never heard of that happening before. has this happened to you before?" mattheo asks while twirling the wand in his hand, "no, never.." i respond while flicking my eyes from my the wand to mattheo.

"what now?" theo asked while studying the wand, "this is practically useless until we defeat Dumbledore" "well then that what we'll do..." i say while getting up and moving to my dresser. i pulled out a fitted sleeveless black shirt with black leather pants i used to train in at home. i pulled my hair back into a low ponytail and quickly changed clothes. as i was putting on my shoes i realized mattheo was staring at me

"was it really necessary to change?" mattheo asks while looking me up and down, "well you dont seem to be too bothered by it.." i say calling him out for checking me out, "but yes, when im wearing minimal clothing i feel like my magic is stronger, almost as if being as close to nature as possible strengthens me somehow. feeling the wind on my skin gives me a sort of confidence i need to do my wandless magic well..." i say while standing up and turning towards the door.

"you ready?" i ask glancing over my shoulder to see mattheo taking off his robe, leaving him in just a white button down shirt and black pants. he quickly grabbed his own wand before nodding his head at me sharply, signaling that he was ready for what we where about to face.

we both left our dorm and made our way silently through the halls, mentally preparing ourselves for the fall of our headmaster.
