Ben was in the middle of a field filled with crops and cattle all around. He could see a farmhouse a few miles up ahead but was seemingly all alone. That is except for the voice of Professor Paradox cutting in through static on the Omnitrix.
Ben: Where are you? How are you? WHAT IS HAPPENING?!
Paradox: I...re...yo..Do..Omni..TriX
Ben: Hold on.
Ben fiddled with the Omntrix until Paradox was coming through clearly
Paradox: Ah, much better!
Ben: Can you please tell me what's going on?!
Paradox: I can certainly try, but this situation is quite unfamiliar to me as well.
Ben: Well, where are you?
Paradox: I'm afraid I don't know. But it is quite dark here. Lots of space.
Ben: Why can't I just use Alien X to fix the Omnitrix and stop all of this?
Paradox: That, my dear boy, would cause something called an internal temporal paradox. You would be stuck frozen in one moment of time for all of eternity. Which is not as fun as it sounds.
Ben: Not like I can even use him anyways. I lost nearly all my aliens. I don't know what to do.
Ben sat down under a tree feeling very defeated.
Paradox: Ah! Now that part I do have an answer for!
Ben: You know how to get my aliens back?
Paradox: It seems when you shifted into this other Omniverse, with your Omnitrix's integrity how it was, it caused your alien counterparts to be split into the different universes here.
Ben: So then, how do I get them all back? There's millions of them!
Paradox: Well for that I have a working theory. Your Omnitrix can track and collect your aliens fairly easily since they are very much connected to each other. If you were to collect enough of your aliens back manually as you just did with Spidermonkey, the Omnitrix might be able to pull all of the others back on its own.
Ben: So then I just go from one universe to another, collecting my aliens?
Paradox: Precisely!
Ben: And what if that doesn't work?
Paradox: Well, then this will be a much longer journey than expected!
Ben: And even if it does work, how do I defeat Vilgax?
........
Paradox had gone just as fast as he arrived.
Ben: Great. Now I really am all alone.
*SWOOSH* SWOOSH* Two fast blurs shot through the air over Ben and shot up into the sky. Then a faint green beam knocks something out of the air and into the field.
Ben: That would be my cue.
Ben dials in XLR8 and transforms! He speeds down to where the object fell to the ground. When he gets there, he sees a man with a red cape and an S on his chest laying in a large crater.
XLR8: Dude are you okay?
The man gets up and notices XLR8. He rises into the air and backs up quickly, keeping his guard up.
????: Who are you?
XLR8: Me? I'm just a traveler from a uh...another world. But who are you? And where did you get that dope costume? And what the hell did this to you?
Superman: You really must be from another world if you don't know Superman. I heard something abnormal going on in the area so I came to check it out. Saw this weird pterodactyl thing burning the field and chased after it. Thing was quick too, and it's got some lasers that pack a mighty punch!
XLR8: That's Jetray! I'm sorry, he...doesn't get out much.
Ben was embarrassed but asked for help to catch Jetray.
Superman: I'll cover the sky, you be ready on the ground to catch him.
XLR8: Sounds good, if you can keep up!
XLR8's visor shifted down and he and Superman sped off in the same direction in a friendly race to their destinations. XLR8 sped up faster than Superman, and just as he passed him, Superman shot up into the sky!
XLR8: Showoff.
Jetray was zooming through the sky scorching the crops below him, when he was stopped by Superman floating in the sky in front of him.
Superman: Stop right now. I don't want to fight.
Jetray's eyes started to build up with green energy! Superman matched that with his heat vision. The beams combined and it was too much for Jetray to handle, knocking him out of the sky.
XLR8: I've got him! I've got him!
XLR8 sped to catch him as Jetray crashed to the ground. Before an impact was made, Jetray vanished and was returned to the Omnitrix!
XLR8: That was a close one.
Superman came down to the ground to meet him.
Superman: Where'd he go?
XLR8: Back home. Which means I should probably get going.
Superman: Well it was strange, but a pleasure to meet you.
XLR8: Likewise. And if you don't mind me asking, could I get some advice?
Superman: Of course. What's troubling you?
XLR8: Since you said you were a pretty famous hero in this world, what do you do when you're in that spotlight where the whole world- no, the whole universe is looking to you to save them, but you think you're gonna fail?
Superman: You know, I haven't been a hero for quite as long as you'd think, but what I do know is that in this line of business you aren't always gonna win. The key is Hope. If you have hope in yourself, and hope that you will win, then you will. And the people of your world will have that hope in you too.
XLR8: Thanks. And thank you for the assist back there.
Superman: Don't mention it. I'll see you around- wait what was your name again?
Ben transformed back to himself and smiled at him.
Ben: Ben Tennyson.
Ben then instantly warped out of that universe and was on his way to the next.
