Ben-10: Journey To The Second Omniverse

The Benth Doctor

Ben warped into the next universe, but this time was met with some turbulence. Strong lightning strikes rushed past him as he entered the world. When he landed, he noticed things were much more calm. A little too calm. The sky looked beautiful as he stood on top of a cliff. He could see no other living things. But what he did see on this cliff side was a police call box.

Ben: I'm not even gonna question things anymore.

Ben walked up to it but before he could get to the door, it swung open.

Doctor: Excuse me, but when I sit on top of a cliff at the end of the universe where no living things are supposed to be alive, I tend to expect to be alone. So why are you here disturbing my peace?

Ben: Sorry, did you say the end of the universe?

Doctor: Yeah I also said where no living things should exist. Still following?

Ben: Yeah but what happened? A similar thing is happening in my universe. Maybe it's connected.

Doctor: No. See this universe is trapped in a temporal paradox. Reliving the same moment over and over again. It has happened over a billion times. So much so that the universe became unlivable for most living things.

Ben: If it's unlivable then how are you still here?

Doctor: I'm not most living things.

Ben: And who are you?

Doctor: I'm the Doctor. Or at least I used to be. Not much use anymore. I used to be able to solve any problem, but this is endless.

Ben: And what exactly started this paradox?

Doctor: Let me show you.

The doctor opened up the doors of the police box to reveal almost another world!

Doctor: This is my TARDIS. I can travel through time and space in it. Well, at least I used to be able to.

Ben: Huh. Bigger on the inside. Cool.

Doctor: That's it?

Ben: What? I've seen cooler tech.

Ben shrugged his shoulders and walked in.

Doctor: Oh you- fine! What cooler technology have you seen?

Ben smirked and lifted up his arm revealing the Omnitrix. Just as he was about to press down on it, the room began flashing with red lights, and a screen started counting down from 10.

Ben: Uh what's this?

Doctor: The paradox resetting. It's gonna get a bit bumpy.

Everything began to shake, and then everything went white. Ben opened his eyes and it seemed like everything was fine.

Ben: What just happened?

Doctor: We went back 7 minutes. Every 7 minutes the same event occurs and the timeline jumps back.

Ben: So why not just stop whatever is causing it?

Doctor: I've tried. Literally a million times. The Daleks have something powerful. I don't know what it is. Every time I step foot in where they are holding it, it activates and we are sent back. And if I do nothing we are set back. It's hopeless.

Ben: Ya know, someone told me recently that nothing is hopeless. Plus you never had me before.

Doctor: Guess it doesn't hurt to try.

The doctor activated his ship and they flew through space and ended up inside the Dalek ship.

Doctor: There's a door right outside. Behind that door is whatever weapon they have.

The doctor and Ben walked out of the TARDIS and towards the door. The Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver and activated it at the door. When he did this, the door started to open, however a noise was heard and then everything went white, and they woke up again on top of the cliff.

Doctor: See, I told you. It's pointless. Every time it's the same outcome.

Ben: Wait, I heard something right before the timeline reset. I think I know what their weapon is. Let's try one more time.

Doctor: Might as well.

They started the TARDIS back up and went back into the Dalek ship. They walked up to the door and The Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver again.

Ben: Wait, don't!

Ben transformed into Greymatter.

Greymatter: Allow me.

Greymatter messed with the door's controls and it opened. They looked inside and saw Clockwork! He was trapped to table and was surging with energy.

Greymatter: They set him up to be a time bomb!

Doctor: It was me...Every time I opened that door, I also set off the bomb.

The Doctor looked down at his screwdriver

Greymatter: Hey, it's not your fault. If you did nothing, he still would've gone off.

Greymatter jumped up onto Clockwork's head and began working on fixing him. Time around them started to mend itself and the universe began healing as Greymatter worked

Doctor: It's working!

As he was starting to finish, some Daleks came in

Greymatter: Maybe it worked a little too well.

A group of Daleks came in and surrounded Clockwork and Greymatter.

Daleks: EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

The Daleks all shot at them at the same time, but they were gone! The Daleks took each other out with their own shots. Greymatter sat on the floor where Clockwork used to be as he was now back in the Omnitrix.

Greymatter: That was a little too close.

The doctor took Ben back to the cliff where they had met, only now it was lush with birds and other animals all around.

Doctor: Thank you for not giving up as I did. For having hope.

Ben: Hey, don't mention it.

Doctor: But I know that look you have in your eyes. I've made that look too many times.

Ben: What's that?

Doctor: Loneliness. You lost someone or you're scared of losing someone. But don't let that keep you from having friends. You always need someone to keep you grounded. Someone to pull you from your darkest moments. What I'm saying is you should never do this alone.

Ben: I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, doc.

Ben then warped out and was on his way to the final destination.
