Another instant warp landed Ben in a dark new world. He was on a slim rocky platform that seemed to be high up on a mountain. He peered over the side to see nothing but spikes on the ground below, some with dead bodies and decapitated heads from those who may have fallen.
Ben: This universe does not have pizza.
A loud strike of lightning came in behind Ben. He turned around to see a man standing there.
Raiden: Hello, offworlder. Did you arrive with the other?
Ben: Offworlder? Other?! Sounds about right. What did it look like?
Raiden: He seemed to be a Cryomancer, however he had wings.
Ben: Sounds like Big Chill to me. Point me to him. I can take him off your hands.
Raiden: He has beaten some of our best champions. He is fighting with Shang Tsung. Will you fight for Earthrealm?
Ben: Sure dude. I've saved my Earthrealm like a million times!
Raiden: Then you shall enter the tournament!
Ben: Alrig- wait, tournament?
Raiden teleported himself and Ben to another, similar platform that had a lot of other people on it.
Shang Tsung: Welcome, everyone, to the Mortal Kombat tournament! We have some new Kombatants here today, who are eager to begin.
Raiden walked Ben over to the other Earthrealm defenders.
Raiden: Sub-Zero, are you ready for your fight?
Sub-Zero: I will fight for the honor of my name. For justice of my brother's wrong doings. Scorpion will not get away with his actions of senseless rage.
Ben: What the hell is happening?!
Shang Tsung: Scorpion, Hellspawn of Netherrealm. Formerly known as Hanzo Hasashi of the Shirai Ryu. VERSUS. Sub-Zero. Leader of the Lin Kuei. On the side of Earthrealm.
Ben: I think I've seen this in a video game once.
Shang Tsung: 3!...2!...1!....FIGHT!
The two kombatants attacked each other brutally! They took blows that most would not survive, let alone brush off and keep fighting after. Both seemed equally matched. Fire vs Ice. Just then, Ben sighted Big Chill in a pack of Netherrealm spectators cheering for Scorpion.
Ben: Maybe I can get a long distance scan..
Ben fidgeted with the Omnitrix trying to get the scanner to read Big Chill from far away, aiming right at him, but with no luck. Big Chill spotted this and got agitated. Ben looked up from the watch and noticed Big Chill was gone.
Ben: Where did you..
Then, Big Chill came up from below and grabbed Ben by the throat, throwing him onto the battlefield.
Shang Tsung: What is this? A Double Battle? I will allow it! FIGHT!
Just then Big Chill shot his ice breath towards Ben, but Sub-Zero blocked it with his own ice moves, creating a wall of ice in front of them.
Sub-Zero: Get up. It is time to fight.
Scorpion threw his spear at the ice wall at the exact point Ben's head was. The ice there began to instantly melt. This was enough motivation for Ben to start getting up.
Ben: Fine. You wanna fight? I'll fight.
Ben dialed in the Omnitrix and pressed down on it, turning into Swampfire!
Swampfire punched his fists into the ground, sprouting his vines through the floor until they were right under Scorpion. They grabbed onto him, tangling him up, but Scorpion quickly slashed them away with his sword. Big Chill froze Swampfire's hands into the ground, but Swampfire melted them out and lunged at him. Big Chill phased through the attack and left Swampfire open for Scorpion to slice him in half.
Shang Tsung: FATALITY!
Swampfire: Not quite.
Swampfire began to regenerate his lower half and rose up quickly into an uppercut on Scorpion! Scorpion recovered quickly and attacked back with his flame breath, but Swampfire countered it with his own flame attack. Sub-Zero went to attack Big Chill with an ice beam as Big Chill attacked him with the same! A fourway standstill of fire and ice. The beams grew stronger and then, the ice and fire beams collided, causing a huge explosion! Swampfire stood over Big Chill as he started to get up.
Swampfire: Nope.
Big Chill went back into the Omnitrix. The dust from the explosion started to settle, and Sub-Zero saw Ben's hand reach to him to help him up.
Sub-Zero: What happened?
Ben: We won.
Sub-Zero got up and looked to see that Scorpion was completely tangled up in vines and unable to get out.
Shang Tsung: Very well done! Now... FINISH HIM!
Ben: Yeah...definitely not. See ya!
Ben warped out to the next universe with haste.
