"Woah! So you mean to say the letters just came out of nowhere?! Creepy!" Mei said excitedly, laying on her front now and kicking her legs in the air. During the first part of the story she had managed to move her position several times which Macaque found quite impressive, it had only been around ten minutes and she was already trying to move once more.
"Well, it wasn't exactly creepy. It was more mysterious," Macaque answered honestly, chuckling slightly as he watched the others on the floor.
"Please, can you continue?" MK asked, practically doing puppy dog eyes at the simian.
"Okay, kid, okay! Buckle down..."
Fists impacted together in a shockwave as they swung, the large blue figure towering over the smaller monkey with faux anger while the simian oozed confidence; they were sparring, something the Brotherhood did quite often in their search for more power, to be stronger. As Azure made contact with Wukong the bystanders could feel the power from the punches, practically feeling the electricity between the two.
The speed of the beings created a breeze that could knock even the Jade Emperor over if too close, the others knew it best to stay back in case the ferocity of the fight managed to involve them as well. It had done many times before, ending in a free for all brawl.
Of course, Sun Wukong wasn't going to let that happen, the monkey determined as he practically flew through the air at insane speeds dodging the other's violent hits and ambitious moves. Both the opponents were equal, not in size or strength, no, Azure was the size but Wukong was most definitely the strength, but in mind set. Both were motivated by the same ideals to destroy the other in battle!
Well... Destroy was a harsh word.
More like eliminate the competition. You see, they had a bet going on, most of the money was on Azure, his cunning and size would surely outsmart the small simian, however, one brother in particular had his money, and eyes, on the other.
Macaque.
Macaque had known Sun Wukong long enough to know that he wasn't just a dumb monkey; he was possibly the dumbest. His arrogance and need for dramatic flare did make him seem that way, but Macaque knew not to underestimate the Monkey King, for as much as he was arrogant, he was also smart. He decisively planned each strike based on his opponent's strength, skill set and cunning. He could predict what the other's next move was and could work on that to assure victory for him and his friends.
But there was one problem with this, while Wukong did this, sometimes, possibly most of the time, he would give into his impulses. He would fight them not based on logic, but built on how pent up he was at the time. If someone taunted him, pushed him too far, he would lose all focus, going straight for their throat. Of course, he was still confident in his victory, but if that small seed of doubt was planted? Well then he would decline fast.
As he watched the fight he noticed that Wukong was starting to get a little slower with each hit, each block; Azure's fighting was tiring him and taking a toll on his logic, he was going to become impulsive... Azure's fighting style was quite similar to the Monkey King's except for one thing, the lion would not stop until victory was assured. He would sacrifice his life and livelihood just to win a single fight and be right, to prove others wrong.
He would hurt himself tenfold just to hurt you.
As they fought, sparks flew, both of them getting more and more fatigued by the minute until finally they heard what only could have been described as an injured yelp and a horrifying, sickening crack; Macaque turned to them to witness Azure slowly straighten up as the other brothers cheered, cracking his neck as he looked down at the monkey.
