"Woah! And that's when you fought the Jade Emperor for the first time, right?" MK asked, his eyes wide as he remembered this story, of course, it was only Monkey King he really knew the details of, however, he was a fanboy, sue him.

"Oh! And this is where you get your butt handed to you by the Jade Emperor!" Mei butted in, a small mischievous smirk on her face.

"Yes, yes, this is where I was defeated by the Jade Emperor, however, most of you haven't heard the real story of the battle, only the ones in story books. Which are crazily one-sided if you could ever believe that?" Wukong said and chuckled, looking over to the other sitting next to him, the warrior rolling his eyes at the hero and chuckling. He had to admit, Wukong did have a point.

"Yeah, they were pretty bias towards Heaven, but we did throw our punches and we did get them good in the first half if it wasn't for someone running off by himself believing he could take out the big guy himself," Macaque shot back, Wukong acting as if he was offended, however, he knew the jab was valid. He had come to terms with a lot of his past the last few months since Azure. He needed to address a lot of things with the Brotherhood and with Macaque, who he now held dear once more.

Not that he'd ever admit that, of course. Oh no, they were sworn enemies in his books... Mostly...

"Well then how about you tell us the real story of what happened in the fight? Maybe we could get a bit more detail or something?" Mei asked curiously, the question practically making the Monkey King's eyes light up.

"Yeah, alright! I'll tell you the true story of the assault on the Celestial Realm! By the end you're gonna be kicking yourselves, we did things so... Wrong. But... We did try our hardest. You gotta admire that," Wukong admitted, sitting up slightly as he cleared his throat. "So... We were on our siege of the Heavens..."

The battle was already underway and while the tides had not turned just yet, they were seeming in their favour as the armies of the Heavens seemingly crumpled to their power. One after one Heaven's soldiers were bending to their will, falling to their might. It made them feel powerful. Stronger, more passionate. It made them feel as if they finally were going to succeed, that they were finally going to be in charge of their own lives as they saw fit.

As Demon Bull King and Yellowtusk fronted the charge, being the biggest of the bunch, they faced the brunt of the first attack, Celestial soldiers and maidens rained from the heavens as they tried to flatten the unruly ambush in one foul swoop. However, they hadn't accounted for one thing...

That the ambushers would come with a plan.

As the soldiers focussed on the frontrunners, they hardly had time to notice the ambush from the sides, both of the monkeys flying towards them at top speeds and splitting them up, taking them on when they least expected it, and the stragglers were left to Peng and Azure. Every single wave of soldiers fell at the hands of the Brotherhood as they declared the others' stupidity for questioning the might of the Jade Emperor, unlike they had already heard it ten times over.

Each wave would meet the same demise as they crumpled from the skies and soon piles of injured and dead stood before them, a gruesome sight as they continued their tirade, forcing themselves through the attacks to get closer and closer to the palace, to the throne room of the Jade Emperor. They were set on it, their hearts yearning. At least...

That's what they thought.

As they stood before another wave, DBK seemed to be enamoured, almost startled into submission as he was brought forth as a target for an attack from a Celestial Maiden. However, as much as he desired to, he simply could not take his eyes off of such beauty; so with a heavy heart, they decided to leave their Brother behind. They knew he could take control of it so it was little to worry about, especially with such a strong demon such as the Bull King himself. However, the new weakness was shown in their plans as they left one of their own behind. The worry and unrest that they would have to change their plans ran through them, and as they got the closest they could to the emperor, he was faced with a challenge.
