You were home, still debating whether to attend the birthday party Murasakibara had invited you to. It seemed like the perfect chance to reclaim the happiness you'd missed at the prom.
And yet... a part of you couldn't forget. Couldn't forget the pain of being left alone.

That evening, Nezuko arrived at your doorstep—unexpected and awkward. She stood in front of you, fidgeting, her lips pursed like she was rehearsing an apology in her head. You invited her inside, and the two of you sat quietly in your room for a moment before she spoke.

"I'll get straight to the point," she blurted, eyes already filled with guilt. "I know I should've said this way earlier, but I'm really sorry, [Your name]-chan. I should've been there with you at the party. I won't give excuses—I was stupid. I messed up. I'm so, so sorry." She looked at you, eyes pleading.

"It's alright, Nezuko-chan," you replied. "My misfortune wasn't your fault." It was mostly true. But a part of you had been quietly upset. Not anymore. "I'll keep apologizing until you're mad at me enough to forgive me," she said, half-laughing, half-serious. You chuckled softly.

Later, as you sipped juice together, Nezuko asked, "So... are you going to the party tonight?" You hesitated. "I don't know. I just... I can't trust him that easily again." She stayed silent for a second. Then: "Actually, the other day, he came running to me. He was panicking. Two of the calls you got from me that day were actually from him, using my phone." Your eyes widened slightly.

"Himuro-kun also gave him a solid lecture," she added. "He pretended to be bored—but he wasn't. He regrets it, [Your name]-chan. He really does." Your heart stirred at her words. That gentle voice inside you—the one that still liked him—was growing louder.

"I don't know... I'm scared," you admitted softly. "He just wants to make it up to you." She added. "What if he disappears again?" Your fear spoke. "He won't." She replied, with a strange confidence in her eyes. "And if he does?" Your doubt still wasn't gone. "I'll burn all his snacks!" You both burst out laughing. And suddenly, your walls started to crumble.

"Alright," you said, eyes sparkling, "Let's go." Nezuko squealed and threw her arms around you. You giggled together like little girls going on a big adventure.

Walking Titan Atsu-chan If you're miraculously coming, will you please wear the same outfit from prom night? I want to change all those bad memories for you.

You stared at the message in your notification bar, stunned. It was simple, maybe even written with Himuro's help, but it was still him. And that meant everything. You didn't even open the chat. Your heart had already replied: Yes.

When you arrived at the party, it felt like déjà vu—but in the best way. Himuro and Murasakibara were standing at the doorway this time. No tuxes, no formalities. Just the boys being themselves. And somehow, that made it feel even better. Murasakibara wore a white jersey under a violet jacket, skinny jeans, and clean white sneakers. His violet hair fell messily over his eyes like some lazy, gorgeous unicorn. He looked... happy. Really happy. His eyes softened the moment he saw you. And this time, he was the one who waited.

"Hi, [Your name]-chin," he said with a lazy grin. "Thank you so much for coming. My wait was worth it." You froze. That smile—so rare, so real—made your chest flutter. "You look gorgeous," he added, his gaze warm as he scanned your outfit, clearly recognizing it from prom night. You smiled. "You look good too."

"Of courseee," he replied, dragging out the word with his usual sleepy tone as he reached for your hand. You let him.

And just like that, the two of you stepped into the party together. Not as strangers. Not as one-sided wishful thinkers. But as something beginning. Something real.
