You stepped out of the washroom and were caught off guard to find Murasakibara standing right outside the door. "Atsu-kun?" You asked, stunned. "Oh... are you alright?" he asked, a little awkwardly. "Yes, I am," you nodded, trying to seem unaffected. "You sure?" He asked again. "Of course," you added, brushing your hands nervously down the sides of your dress, still flustered from the dare you were given minutes ago.
He stood in silence for a second, then looked down at you with rare softness in his eyes. "I'm sorry you had to drink those glasses of soda." He begun. "It's okay. I'm fine," you said, forcing a light smile. But just when the moment seemed sweet, he gave a sly smirk. "Of course... You didn't have the guts to complete the dare."
You blinked, shocked. "The hell do you mean?" You asked. "I mean you're a cooooward," he teased in a sing-song voice, turning away. "I am not!" you growled, annoyed. "[Your name]-chin is a cooooward~" he kept teasing as he walked ahead. That was it.
Without thinking, you grabbed his wrist and yanked him back toward you. He turned to your motion with casual surprise, but before he could process it, your hands were gripping his collar and you pulled him down. And kissed him.
Your eyes were shut tight. His were wide open. You kissed him firmly, boldly—furious at his teasing, yet consumed by something deeper. You didn't know how long it lasted, but the moment your senses caught up to your actions, you pulled back abruptly. You took a step back, unable to look at him.
"I—" you began, trying to find words. But you didn't need them. Murasakibara suddenly took your hand and tugged you close again. Before you could react, his lips were on yours. This time, it wasn't a stolen kiss. It was real. It was mutual.
His hands moved from your fingers to your waist, firm and certain. You gasped against his mouth, and he deepened the kiss, his lips soft and warm, moving gently over yours as if he were waiting for permission. You wrapped your arms around his neck and let yourself melt into him.
He broke the kiss, only to lift you by the waist and place you gently on a nearby table. Now face to face, he looked into your eyes like he was seeing you for the first time. Then he leaned in again—rougher this time. Deeper. Hungrier.
You kissed back just as eagerly. His lips, his warmth, the way he held you—it was everything you never knew you wanted. You moaned softly against his kiss, your hands clutching his jacket as if scared he might disappear.
Then— Knock knock. "[Your name]-chan?" It was Nezuko's voice from outside the room. You both froze. Murasakibara quickly pulled back and took a step away. You stayed seated on the table, breathless, cheeks on fire. Neither of you could look at each other. "Let's... go," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah," you whispered, hopping off the table to follow him out.

The dance floor was already full. Couples swayed slowly under dim lights, soft music echoing around the room. You and Murasakibara stood still for a moment, unsure of how to proceed. Then, without saying anything, he gently placed his hands on your waist. You looked at him, stunned. He was avoiding your eyes, his cheeks faintly pink.
"You... know how to dance?" You asked. "Nah," he muttered. "Just doing what everyone else is doing." He added, looking around. You smiled as you placed your hands on his shoulders. "Well, you're really good at it." You added with a grin. "I am?" he asked, genuinely surprised. "Yeah. Too good for a lazy person," you teased. He groaned softly, and you both giggled. Then his gaze met yours. And this time, neither of you looked away.
His amethyst eyes glowed under the soft lights, filled with an emotion you couldn't quite name. Your chest tightened. Slowly, you rested your head against his chest. He froze for a moment and then, his arms wrapped around you. You felt his chin gently rest on your head. The music faded into the background. So did the people. There was only you and him. In that moment, you realized something you'd been running from for a while.
You were in love with Murasakibara Atsushi. And maybe—just maybe—he was falling for you too.
