Murasakibara stood there, frozen. Your sudden confession seemed to knock the breath out of him. He blinked a few times, his violet eyes wide. "Ehhh?! Why'd you say it first?" he finally groaned with a pout. "I wanted to say it first." That made you laugh, your heart feeling lighter than ever.

"I like you too, [your name]-chin. You're my girlfriend now. And you're not allowed to talk to any guy except Muro-chin," he added with his usual lazy tone, but his words carried warmth. You smiled, rising up on your toes. He bent down, his height still towering over you, and kissed your lips gently.

"Congratulations!" Nezuko and Himuro squealed as they surrounded the two of you like excited siblings. "You guys make a great couple," Himuro said, clapping a hand on Murasakibara's shoulder. "I know, Muro-chin," Murasakibara replied with a gallic shrug. You blushed at his nonchalant pride.

Two months had passed since then. You and Murasakibara had gone on a few dates—your first double date with Himuro and Nezuko had been full of laughter and awkward couple games. And somehow, Murasakibara had even started sharing his snacks with you.

"[Your name]-chan!" Himuro grinned. "It's Atsushi's birthday tomorrow! We have to throw him a party." Himuro informed. "Definitely!" you nodded excitedly. "We should make it a surprise!" Nezuko added, eyes shining. "That's perfect," Himuro agreed, and the three of you spent the rest of the day plotting out the whole thing—from decorations to cake to keeping Murasakibara distracted.

The next morning, Himuro showed up at Murasakibara's house while your sleepy boyfriend was still buried under his blankets. After much groaning, stretching, and bribery (with snacks, of course), he managed to convince Murasakibara to join him for a one-on-one basketball match.

"Don't forget to lock the door," Himuro called as they left. "I'm not stupid," Murasakibara yawned. Himuro locked the door behind him and slipped the key under the flowerpot. The moment they turned the corner, you and Nezuko popped out of hiding. "Level one: complete!" you whispered, holding back a giggle as you grabbed the key and unlocked the door.

You entered with a mission. Nezuko took charge in the kitchen while you followed her instructions like a dedicated sous-chef. You prepared all of Murasakibara's favorite snacks—salted chips, chocolate, spicy puffs, mochi, and even some weird candy he liked that you couldn't understand.

You decorated the walls with little lights and purple streamers to match his hair. You even tidied up his entire house—something that made you wish you'd worn gloves. Finally, you laid out a bouquet of roses on the table. He wasn't much into flowers, but you still wanted to do the "cheesy girlfriend" thing at least once. Nezuko got a call from Himuro. They were ready.

"Tell them to come in half an hour," you said, pinning your hair up. "We need to get ready!"

"We're home!" Himuro called out, leading the clueless Murasakibara into the house. He barely took a step in before all of you yelled together: "Happy Birthday, Atsushi!" Murasakibara blinked. His eyes swept the room, taking in the decorations, the food, the lights... and finally, you.

You walked up to him, holding the bouquet close. "Happy Birthday, Atsu-kun. I love you so much." You handed him the flowers and stood on your toes to peck his cheek. He smiled—a rare, genuine smile that made your chest warm. "Thank you, [your name]-chin. I love you so much too." From behind, Himuro and Nezuko whooped dramatically, making the two of you laugh.

The cake was ready. Murasakibara cut it while the rest of you sang the birthday song at full volume. You smeared a piece of cake on his cheek. Instead of wiping it off, he leaned forward and licked it off his face. "Ewwww!" everyone groaned in unison while he just shrugged like it was the most normal thing ever.

You played silly games, snacked, and even danced a little. Murasakibara didn't usually dance, but he let you drag him across the floor—occasionally mumbling "so borrring" while grinning. Eventually, Nezuko and Himuro got up to leave. "Bye, lovebirds!" Nezuko whispered and gave you a cheeky wink as she passed, making you blush furiously.

Now, it was just the two of you. Quiet. Cozy. Murasakibara plopped down on the couch, opened another snack packet, and patted the spot beside him. "C'mere," he said softly. You walked over, sat beside him, and leaned your head on his shoulder. "Happy birthday again," you whispered.

He rested his head gently against yours. "Best birthday ever."
